I just hope we get a 120 frames per second Roger Rabbit movie so it would be ironic to say the title "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

Ang Lee’s ‘Gemini Man’ Gets Huge CinemaCon Buzz With Stunning Footage of De-Aged Will Smith

Quote:
Lee then introduced the first “Gemini Man” teaser, which was presented in 3D. The film stars Smith as an aging assassin who must avoid being killed by a younger clone of himself. The clone is a 23-year-old Smith and is played by the actor using de-aging visual effects. The teaser shown at CinemaCon provided the first look at de-aged Smith, and the final result wowed journalists in attendance.

Interesting, I guess Paramount wants this attached to Endgame over Terminator.

I know, right. The guy looks better now than when he was 23. Granted... the two had different lifestyles. So whatever 23 year old assassin version of Smith is... should be impressive.

That's easy, he always looks the same. Just do the hair and you're done.

I look forward to this though. Hope it'll be a good comeback for Will.

Really, he shaved the goatee back down to a mustache in Bright and he was 90% of the way there.

I hope there's a scene where young Smith starts singing Gettin Jiggy wit it and older Smith shoots him.

It always sounded weird to me that an actor like Smith needed to be "de-aged" for a movie, when he's looked essentially the same since 1996. Back when this project was first being kicked around in the 90s (long before the necessary F/X technology existed to realize it), the lead was being considered for Sean Connery, and seeing a Rock-era Connery facing off against a Goldfinger-era Connery would have been FASCINATING.

Then for a long time it was supposed to be Henry Jones Jr himself, Harrison Ford starring in this. I would have loved to have seen all 3 versions of this. But this is the one we're getting, and I am very intrigued.

As some of the comments on youtube have pointed out, the CGI works when he's not moving.

As soon as he starts talking and moving his head, your brain can instantly tell that something's unnatural.
