So I was on 80's and 90's Anime facebook page and someone posted a poster of Dr.Slump: Space Adventure and I started wondering if the 5 movie collection Discotek released some years back might get a Blu upgrade. Hoyoyo!

Well, it doesn't have a Japanese Blu-ray release, and considering it's Toei, who knows if their DVDs were based on an HD scan...

it sold poorly to the point that they weren't perticuerly keen on doing much else with it ( last i checked)

It seems to be around the 20th of each month. I remember Beyblade V-Force was announced a few days before Christmas. Think it was close to the end of January when G-Revolution was announced too.

I'm one of those old anal original-or-nothing purist fans that I'm sure these companies really bemoan. But I'm quickly becoming a Discotek fan and they deserve some kudos for the GE999 and KOR releases. I don't use twitter or Facebook or anything to tell them so, but hopefully they know that their efforts are appreciated!

Went to Discoteks website and it looks like Venus Wars is officially listed as OOP. Would have been nice if they told Rightstuf back in November, that way I wouldn't have money tied up in a order for 6 months with no chance of being fulfilled. I guess I'll finally cancel my order and get my $25 back.

I believe it is the first bluray to go out of print, the dvd is also oop now. I just wish they'd have given a heads up about it going oop.

Watching the votoms ovas and it seems it has the same ghosting frame rate problem the series has =/. the source says 720x48060i which is weird that is what my Panasonic 820 says.

I'm glad that I got Venus Wars on Blu-Ray like three years ago. It's a shame that is now out of print because it is a great movie.
