Loving this channel, but I'm streaming through Roku and has anyone else not been able to access the special features via the Roku app? It's still a little glitchy (it crashes when I select 'Criterion Editions') and I assume it'll take a little while before they iron out all the kinks but so far I'm very impressed. I love the themed categories like Columbia Noir, Powell/Pressburger, Bergman, Agnes Varda, etc.
It's so nice to have so many Criterion titles available to stream. I still plan on buying their physical discs, but it's really nice to be able to see a ton of films in the collection that I haven't seen -- in Criterion-level quality, with extras! -- without having to buy them all. LOL my wallet can only handle so much. ~Matt |

While a few films I was hoping for are unfortunately unavailable, I hold out hope one day a few may be added. Films like Repo-Man, The Virgin Suicides, and the Before Trilogy aren’t available at the present time in Canada.
More importantly, I am more than ecstatic with the wealth of selection available and look forward to scouring it all every chance I get. A fantastic start to a service which I hope sticks around. |

I can go on the Criterion Editions, but when I scroll to the very end to try and access the full list, it crashes then. Also "My list" doesn't work properly either. It only shows 21 movies so if you add more it deletes the earlier movies you added. Unless it's only meant to hold 21. My "to watch" list is over 21 which is how I found out. lol. Hopefully everything gets ironed out soon. I'm loving it overall! ![]() |

With the addition of The Criterion Channel to Kanopy and TCM, it's mind-blowing just how much great cinema is at my fingertips via the Apple TV 4K.
And I'm not even citing iTunes, Movies Anywhere and Vudu. I just scored Shoplifters, The Front Runner, Blindspotting and Three Identical Strangers from iTunes as .99 cent rentals. I find the interface to be superior to Filmstruck. Plus, the underlying technology supports 4K HDR. On that last note, it's only a matter of time. Well worth the investment to become a charter member. It's a perfect complement to identifying new Criterion titles to add to my physical collection. |

I know this isn't exactly what some people expected, but if they do what FilmStruck did in connection with Criterion, they will move movies in and out of availability.
I love having access to movies that I may have never found if not for FilmStruck and Criterion. The services have turned me on to some films I am not sure I would have ever got around to seeing without it. I am just now getting into older movies from the "greats" like Fellini, Kurosawa, Bergman.....Criterion Channel is a great place to start. Watched David Lynch's "The Elephant Man" last night. I had forgotten how outstanding it was. |

App seems fine to me?
Only thing that I hope gets fixed soon is the watchlist glitch on Roku. There's no way to access the entire watchlist. Trying to do so boots you back to the Roku channel screen. Plus, you have to jump through hoops to find the extras. All minor stuff though and entirely expected in the first week. |

So Dark the Night (the second film in the Columbia Noir section) stops playing without about a minute left. It kicks out to the menu screen. When I resume, it just plays the same section for about five seconds and stops each time. It's almost the end, but not quite.
When the glitch first occurred, it would let me resume and watch an additional five seconds before kicking me out. But now it's stuck on the final five second section and it will not go further. Have tried it two days in a row now with the same issue. Nothing wrong at all with the preceding film or this one until this glitch. I'm using the Criterion app on my tv. So Dark the Night is not a great film, but this is an annoying hiccup to be seconds away from finishing it. Apart from this, I'm enjoying the app and the streaming quality seems to be excellent. On to The Big Heat. |

I watched some of the special features of Mulholland Drive on my Apple TV. The film itself in HD but it plays back in mono, so I assume this will get a 5.1 adjustment at some point.
I watched Eyes Without A Face and Man Who Knew Too Much last night and they were great. |

Edit: I am using To Sleep with Anger as an example. When I click on it on the main page it just gives me the title to watch and then 18 other films as 'Up Next'. I then searched for the title and did find the Charles Burnett "1 season" collection which has the one extra 'A Walk with Charles Burnett but still haven't had luck finding the other two extras that are on the site if I search on my laptop. ![]() Links: A Walk With Charles Burnett Of Family and Folklore Governors Awards Tribute On the Roku, they not do show up with the actual movie if you find it from the menu or wherever - I have to search for the movie separately and the extras seem to come up that way. It's weird. Hopefully they'll fix that. Apparently, if you add each extra to your watchlist from the site, they'll show up on the app that way too (I haven't tried that though). I am hoping all of these early glitches - and others like the watchlist glitch and apparently some movies cutting off before the end - are identified and fixed ASAP.
