So I'm heading to the US in a few weeks and plan to try picking up a few 4k Blurays not released in Europe like Hereditary, Leon, Starship Troopers.
Any idea where would be the best place to look? With no US address, would it give me any trouble to order from Walmart and choose to pick up at a store close to where I'll be located? Appreciate any help ![]() |

It probably depends on where you're going. Inventory can vary from region to region and from store to store. In my personal experience, Best Buy usually has the best stock of movies and Target has the worst. I've never stepped foot in a Walmart so I'm not sure what they're like. Maybe check out Bullmoose if you happen to be in the Northeast. I kind of want to plan a trip to New England just so I can add bullmoose to the itinerary.

In theory, OP, you could order on Best Buy's website and select "Pick up in store" at the Best Buy nearest your destination.

In addition to the stores mentioned, if where you’re headed has a Fry’s Electronics, definitely make a stop there. They have a fairly robust 4K section.

Seems to me that Best Buy don't offer this to all locations. That's why I was thinking Walmart would be an option for this, as they seem to offer in-store pick up at any location of your choice. |

If you can find a McKay's you'll thank yourself. They have a wide array of used 4K and 4K steelbooks starting at $12.00 and going up. You might even get lucky and find some for under $10.

In Arizona, ZIA records had a pretty good selection. I mainly used it for music. But they did have a movie section. Of the titles you listed i’d Search 1-Best Buy- largest 4K selection 2-FYE (typically locates in malls) 3-Walmart although their selection varies greatly by store 4-Target- hit or miss. I have 3 near me and aside for new releases (week of) their selections are completely different 5-Barnes and Noble- they do charge MSRP and typically don’t have slip cases, but a good place for Kino and Criterion. 6- same Club/Costco/BJs warehouse stores if you’re staying with family/friends that have a membership- selection is random if any 7- Dollar General- YMmV but a good place to snag some older Blu-rays |
