Just had another thought... WALL-E.

Well if we're suggesting titles...

I say Pan's Labyrinth

or

Sunshine (great contrast throughout the film...and a great flick to boot!)

You know, Pan's Lab was going to be my first title! My Philips had red crush issues with the movie, my blacks would look magenta sometimes. Very annoying. Cloverfield! Another perfect idea! AND SUNSHINE! I've been wanting to see that. I only saw it on my first HTiB and 32" Vizio back when it first came out, that'll be a wonderful experience this time around. Great suggestions, Slec and Lou, great ones - definitely spending next weekend indoors (outside of Saturday afternoon, that's when my GRE is... )

Mike, go on eBay - username is "bettersigns" - he'll hook you up!

Don't stress over the GRE's. I did pretty well on mine without a ton of prep work. It takes a long time though, especially if they still have one duplicated section and 1 experimental section. I took mine in 02, so it wasn't that long ago.

Good Luck

JJ, how did you last without your receiver with that setup! I've taken mine out to ship off to its new home in Illinois, but its replacement won't be here until next week...

It was 2 weeks with no receiver, and now 1 week with no television. I'm dying here. The two weeks were harsh, but bearable because I knew the 03 would be a gem compared to the Marantz.

Apparently I've got everyone excited over my new Pioneer here - friends and fam alike - big party at the house on Sunday to "estrenarlo" . I also have pictures of some of my female friends posing on my speakers, but those will come on Wednesday along with the Pio pics. Going to put my 683s up on spikes as well. Get some new posters...big week comin up.

Your experience with the Marantz single handedly scared me back to the Pioneer Elite line. I was looking at the 92 originally, then fell in love with the 7002. Settled on the 03. But there's a hole in my system until it arrives

J i was wondering why you decided to go with the 683's and not the 684's. i say that because the 683's have 2 bass drivers but since you have a sub im sure you crossed them at 80hz? wouldn't the 684's have been better? how did each of them sound to you?

I want to use the excuse of "Oh, I listen to a lot of music so that extra low-end extension was really good for me"

No. I'm not gonna lie.

Sex appeal. That's the reason.

I hate those dang double accounters. To scared to actually put there real name with their real vote out there. I have a few of those double accounter ratings on my gallery right now. So if any mods see this too, thanks.

Can't wait to see pics of the Kuro all set up

...Kuro is here.

((But sadly, I have class and errands until 3))

Setup and hooked it up with some full screen movies and dark ones - TDK, Harry Potter 5, Kung Fu Panda, and Spider-man 1.

Black levels + the Advance Cinema 72Hz processing = the most wonderful thing I have EVER seen.

you gonna follow any 'break-in procedures'? i've instructed my wife that she cannot watch certain channels for extended periods of time and must keep the format in 'zoom' mode for the first couple weeks on our new plasma. it may do nothing, but better to be safe than sorry.
