Prince Sign O' The Times Concert Movie Special Edition by Turbine

I read somewhere this is being prepped for release this summer by Turbine and will include the film being remastered (hopefully the OCN) and extra features inc a brand new documentary on the making of this incredible concert/movie

There was an article in a magazine where Prince's 80's engineer Dr Susan Rogers talked about the film and her time with Prince during this period, the article also mentioned a future release of the Concert film by yourself in the summer.

Please tell me this is true and if so what are you planning to do with the release regarding packaging, extra features, 2K or 4K remastering etc

Ah, I see. So, yes, it's right. It's coming... and it will be a piece of art and a real beauty. A comprehensive doc with long time Prince collaborators is in the making and the cover artwork will be made by an artist Prince himself chose for his own albums. I can't go into more detail atm but I am tempted to say this will be the ultimate package for every Prince aficionado.

That sounds pretty amazing!

I have some extra material if you are interested, I have around 2 hours of outtakes and deleted performances from the concert plus many posters and artwork from the Sign O The Times Tour. Let me know if you want to include this footage.

Don't think you'll have to. But to put that into perspective... Our CEO is a huge Prince fan, so he's doing product management on this one. It's going to be a monument for a great artist, with the production led by someone why does this by heart.

Hang on a little, we're in the middle of putting this together. We are even having it rem... oh, wait, maybe I should not be revealing this right now.

I have the Japanese one, which I believe utilizes the same master, and I can literally say it offers the least tangible upgrade from the DVD of any film I own. There's substantial ground for Turbine to improve upon what's out there currently.

Maybe the British one is different. It looked and sounded great on my projection system. But then people around here can sometimes have a completely different sense of scale for these things than I do.
