The issue for some would be Mix will be coming from Funimation, it's a day and date simuldub this season

Did anyone else pick up the Elemental Gelade SDBD from Discotek?

Mine came in a few days ago with my Kimagure set- I got it on a whim (because I was hooked on it back when I was real small, I think it may have been the first series I picked up the volumes for as they came out) but noticed a really off-putting jitter in the picture (anything on the screen that's static will just shake real hard), I don't recall this with the Marmalade Boy discs but I also noticed that the Gelade disc was re-using the Geneon masters so maybe that might have something to do with it?
Just wanted to confirm if anyone else noticed it, could just be my player, I only have the one Region A one to test it on after all.

I bought Elemental Gelade back in December but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Gah, I was overexcited it was back in stock and forgot to use the code! (even though half my cart was "not eligible for promotional discounts")

So I reordered and opened a support ticket to cancel the first. Saved me $13, thanks!

Any idea if Jin-Roh blu is out of print or is it just a matter of waiting until it gets restocked again? I know it jumped in price a while back but then it was back in stock and back around the normal price. I wish I would have jumped on it then.

What you likely saw earlier was the preorder price. Usually they up the price the week of or week after the release of a show. Now you'll need to wait for a sale to get it cheaper from TRSI.

It is not out of print at this stage, there's some warehouse business on Discotek's end, not sure exactly when it will become available again but it will be.

I don't usually pay much attention to the price going up since I preorder but them being cool and leaving the price until they have it actually in stock and not having just filled preorders would sound like something Rightstuf would do. I just don't know what the actual policy is though.

Anime Limited (UK). Collector’s Edition- should be the same disc as the Discotek release.

It's been a few years since it came out, but I remember the Discotek release of Jin-Roh looking like they'd simply ripped the 1080p image from the Japanese BD, cropped out the windowboxing, and finished it off with poor compression. I could be wrong on that but I remember being disappointed.

I have the budget Japanese release so it wasn't an issue, I had just hoped we'd get a non-windowboxed image with better definition.

My recollection of the comparison was that it was basically identical, but did crop out the windowboxing, losing a tiny bit (like a row of pixels or two) off two of the edges. Basically for the significant difference in price it was worth it
