I had no idea Carl Weathers was in this!

Can we get an Action Jackson "how you like your ribs" flamethrower scene?

Hugely disappointed, given we have a trailer for a two hour movie in December, but not an x number episode series in November. Someone isn’t thinking here.
They showed footage at the end. They didn't broadcast it. The few live streamers on youtube shut it down but it looked like a scene from the first few seconds they showed. Completely different from the sizzle reel above.

The actual trailer had an IG-88-like droid firing twin blasters or something. It also showed Werner Herzog's character, narrating the trailer.

It's so silly and redundant of Lucasfilm not showing these reels to the people watching the stream as well. Is this 2003?

I would want the teaser for my project to be watched in the best quality possible, instead of what someone captured with their phone camera. LF will probably come to the same conclusion and release the teaser very soon.

I feel a bit less impressed with those teasers lol but I'm still pretty hyped. With the creative team involved and making it a TV show that can grow and tell a good story, this may be the second new Star Wars property from Disney that I'm actually looking forward to.

Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Werner Herzog, Ludwig Goransson scoring... this is a pretty cool team, I won't lie.

I feel this suits Favreau. Right up his ally. And listening to him speak about it seems very passionate. Saying how he was working on Lion King (which looks dope) at the same time. Really hard worker and wants to push the technological boundries. Something George always did. Natural fit. A Mandalorian in the style of Eastwwod, I'm getting Fistfull of Dollars vibes. This could be incredible.

Lol studios have been doing this garbage of locking footage to cons. I get it, meant to be exclusive to those who are there. I could understand like a 10-30 mins exclusivity window so that the con folks get to say they saw it "first" but there are fans worldwide and hell even in Chicago (like myself) who just don't have the time or the means to be at these panels. Stupid for them to think that people like us would not want to watch as well, and that other fans in attendance would not help.

Similar case from Suicide Squad Panel at SDCC and WB:

[Show spoiler]
Quote:
"Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday," said Sue Kroll, president of worldwide marketing and international distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures. "We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation."

They just wound up backing down and releasing it properly after fans just went nuts sharing it. We are in 2019 now, nobody is going to honor the "don't record" policy anymore. They should know full well that this stuff is going to leak.

Looks alright. Do I like over-saturation? No, but maybe one day I’ll be able to sit down and watch all these Disney plus episodes.

Love that they shot a miniature on a garage-made motion control rig in the basement of ILM. So rad.

I haven't been this excited for Star Wars since The Phantom Menace was announced and I first saw Darth Maul and heard the Duel of the Fates.

I have no doubt it will better than anything else we've gotten so far from Lucasfilm under Disney.

When this was first announced, I was slightly disappointed because I just don’t find Mandalorians interesting. I am happy to be wrong because this looks excellent. This alone is worth the price of giving Disney+ a try.

I think it's silly too but I guess they want those that payed $75 to be at celebration to at least think they're getting something exclusive .
It's also redundant to have a panel about a show that no one on the panel can talk about.

I think this is looking pretty great.... but I'm afraid of the over-saturation thing, even for myself. Anyone who's followed my posts will know I'm generally in the "all STAR WARS is fun STAR WARS" camp... but November?? Sorry, Disney, I'll just be starting my 10-movie epic run-up to RISE OF SKYWALKER at that time (beginning November 14th, with two movies a week on Sundays and Thursdays). I was hoping this MANDALORIAN thing would arrive in September... but November's absolutely a no-go, even for a die-hard like me. Just too much. I'll be looking forward to checking it out in January or February, however, when I'm still buzzing from RISE.

I want Favreau to do a Star Wars film. Or trilogy.

I agree, so what they should do, is reward all the attendees with exclusive merchandise only available at this event; posters, special printed T-shirts etc.

Five thousand exclusive T-shirts is nothing for Lucasfilm/Disney, it's a drop in their annual advertising budget.
