So are all the "well in the comics, they did this..." posts. Marvel CINEMATIC Universe. The comics are source material, inspiration, not an exact plan that must be followed.

So they should only make a movie if it'll gross a billion dollars then? Seeing as each of those flicks you mentioned had their various 'empowerment' themes running through them then having a movie led by a blond haired blue eyed white dude gross $853M is perhaps even more remarkable in this day and age.

Ragnarok ROCKED and if they get Waititi back then I'll be thrilled.

Seriously when are they going to find time to make a fourth Thor movie when even the most popular one didn't come close to what Black Panther and Captain Marvel made?

With probably three films a year being standard, I’m sure they could find a slot somewhere in the next five years. Guardians 3 probably isn’t until 2023 for instance.

Though we should wait and see until Endgame before getting too excited, I’ve seen actors talk about an upcoming sequel when the characters actually die in a film about to come out in order to misdirect the audience away from spoilers.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: As a big fan of Thor: Ragnarok, the idea of a sequel has me worried. Ragnarok has a uniqueness to it, so any attempt to replicate it, or take it any further, may only dilute what was so special about it. I feel that way about the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. I think the first one was brilliant, but the second one was pretty bad. I'd much rather see Taika take on a different character or team within the MCU.

I didn’t see ragnarok but I did read about this useless comedy. When Michael Bay does it it causes everyone to freak out. But when others do it....approved. I guess?

Oh well, I doubt this movie will have much to do with the first two so it can safely be skipped by those of us that felt invested in that storyline.

I'm just having a MCU rerun and I'm currently on Thor Ragnarok. One of the best MCU movies and far superior to Thor 1 and 2. I really hope they do a Thor 4. Heck, give me another Iron Man and Captain America.
