I've owned 2 seperate LG TV's one LCD and one Plasma and I had likes and dislikes with both. The LCD had backlight bleeding and clouding but otherwise was beautiful once calibrated.
The plasma was alright but not nearly as nice as the LCD...It had the red sparkle issue that's common among LG plasmas and it did crush blacks if you wanted a good black level. I now currently own a Samsung 450 plasma and LOVE it...good blacks, wondeful color, very little IR and I bought it for a great price. I would look at the Sammy or Panasonic lines first but in the end I think LG makes a solid TV on the LCD side but the plasma line isn't where the other options are. |
