Naturally, I'm still keeping all the DVDs that never had Blu-Ray releases in Region-A. Most other DVDs have either been combined with their Blu-Ray/UHD editions, or shoved into binders.

Many are still worth keeping either for their extras (anything from A Knight's Tale with its few featurettes that never ported to BD, to the 4-disc Pearl Harbor set with hours of stuff you probably still can't find elsewhere), alternate cuts (extended Narnia, R-rated Pearl Harbor), different color grades (The Matrix).

I also used to love hauling DVDs around when I travel, but that was back when portable DVD players were common and my laptop couldn't play BDs. That's all changed now--I can either plug in an external BD drive (maybe even UHD) or just watch digital. So I am considering purging my DVDs. I have my doubts they'll sell well online, especially if I don't have the original packaging, so I will either:
  • Try my luck selling them at a garage sale (not sure when).
  • Try my luck at a used goods store (in our area is a store called 2nd and Charles that accepts used movies, not sure how picky they are though).
  • Donate them to libraries, so long as they accept donations.
  • Donate them to the Salvation Army.
