US and UK both say 1080i on the box, but the UK is really 1080p (verified on my system). Yes, the extra disk on snow leopards in the UK is 1080i, but all other 4 disks are 1080p.

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago. The congregation here was very helpful.

See this thread: {thread here}. It's a few pages long, and many heavy hitters weigh in.

The overall consensus is to go with the UK version; buy it from Amazon.co.uk if possible.

Good luck!

Yes, it's region free.

I ordered the UK version and it plays fine on my Panasonic DMP BD35.

The shipping is cheap and you get a reduction because they remove the 17.5% tax.

Current price is around $36 US shipped.

Yes, this is fantastic. Buy it now, and buy it from the UK Amazon site. Shipping is really quick, and I'd bet you'll be surprised how fast you get it. Plus it's under $40 for the set. You cannot go wrong with this purchase.

Just bought it. Thanks for the heads up. If Google exchange rate math is correct, it will be $35.48 US once it hits my debit card. I've been waiting to find this one for around $35.

I found it very humbling. It's amazing what things are right under our nose. Some of the places look like they are on a different planet.

You won't regret your purchase

Now we just need Blue Planet: Seas of Life on blu...

Sounds close enough. Hard to go wrong for any five-disc set of BD for $35...even if the movies are terrible (which these aren't).

My local Wal-Mart sells only the BBC release. Of course they aren't usually the cheapest place to buy Blu-Rays though. Except for a few $10.00 titles.

But, I believe what Walmart is selling is the 4 Disk BBC version and not the 5 Disk Version that we are/have gotten from Amazon.uk.
