I just looked at screen caps on DVDBeaver and see what you mean about the darkness and blue tint of the Kino disc.

The visual difference is more drastic when you actually watch the e.m.s. DVD.
The screen captures only hint at the difference. I wish I had bought the e.m.s.
DVD first and spared myself the expense of the other editions. Also, I should
emphasize, the PAL speed-up is noticeable but only slightly, and not severe as
it can be on region 1 players. So on every level the e.m.s. DVD is the one to
get. It's out of print and pricey but worth it.

You've got to know that PAL speed-up is consistent at 4% and cannot vary and you're just meaning how much you notice it on some titles?
