If Amazon accepts the same login info (email & password) across all branches, why don't they also honor my Prime membership benefits as well?

Nothing. I just changed my login email from Yahoo to Gmail and was taken somewhat aback when I tried to login at Amazon UK and had to use the Amazon.com email I had just switched to. I just think if Amazon allows users to use the same login info across all of their worldwide branches they should honor Prime membership benefits too.

Amazon.jp for some reason makes you sign up since it won't work with the other Amazon's main account. It is completely separate for some reason.

that's just.....dumb

it may have something to do with economic rules/regulations/laws regarding online purchases or something crazy like that.

Not for me. Just tried and it works exactly as it has since 2005.

Weird it has never worked for me. But since I buy mainly from sellers I use a proxy service for me.

Once I went to the casino with my buddy with only $20 on me with the idea that I would put it all on 13 black on the roulette table. We went to the table, I watched everyone else play a little, and then put my $20 down. 13 black hit and I won a few hundred dollars.

The weird part? One week before we went, I woke up in the middle of the night from a dream that I won 13 black on roulette, and in my half-asleep state I opened up the notes app on my phone and just typed "13 black" into it so I wouldn't forget.

Stories like this make me worry about the fact that I literally never remember my dreams lol

So I had made a Facebook post just saying I had worked 51 hours within 4 consecutive days and that I was tired. End of post. Three people commented - 1 saying "Not bad", 2nd saying "I remember my first part-time job", and the 3rd saying "you poor thing".

Interestingly, there's a common factor among the 3 of them. They are all truck drivers. I get that you guys work a lot, but in reality all you do is drive for hours. I won't generalize them with all other drivers (the ones that stink, don't wash), but at the end of the day it's a job that requires little skill or effort. There's no labor, there's no customer interaction, nothing.

In addition, I've worked my 2 jobs (bank and Lowes, I'm not even including the countless hours I've driven for Uber and DoorDash), over a year now. Unlike the 3 of them above, I have two little kids that rely and suck up any time they can with me. Last fall I was a volunteer assistant soccer coach for my daughter's team (and will be doing so again this fall). I'm running for city council right now, with the hope that if I win, I can cut down my hours at Lowes.

I'm not saying any of this to brag, or gloat, or whatever. I simply said I was tired but now I felt like I have to defend myself to three idiots. But I bet you they can't say anything back..

Person #3 is my brother.

I have nothing against drivers, and I know their job is not always easy, but their comments ticked me off.

being a truck driver isn't as easy as some people think.

the biggest thing they have to contend with is other drivers. and a lot of those are morons who think they own the roads and have the right-of-way, when they don't. and please know that i'm not talking about you, in that regard. it's just that i've talked to truck drivers before and one of the most common things among them is the amount of respect they don't get from other drivers. they drive trucks that can top out at around 88,000 pounds and drivers in civilian vehicles think they can stop just as quickly as a civic or an altima. then, they wonder why they truck driver didn't stop quicker when they jammed on their brakes right in front of them.

and yes, the actual act of driving isn't that difficult. but to do it for hours on end can be very tiresome, lonely, monotonous, and boring. i had an uncle that drove trucks for a living, and i rode with him one time. usually he was by himself, but he let me go along with him one day. we only got out of the truck when we stopped to eat/use the restroom and when we got to his drop-off/pick-up point. and a lot of truck drivers spend a majority of their lives on the road and in motels...away from their family.

i'm not dogging you or trying to call you out or anything, just trying to give some info on what it's like to be a truck driver. granted i've never BEEN a professional truck driver so i don't know everything. but what i do know (from what i've seen and been told), it can be a fairly demanding job that requires a lot of concentration and certainly some skill to do it correctly and safely.

In my two week rotation I work 168 hours. During the winter we hot-change which adds 1 hour per day, making it 182 hours.
I've driven haul truck and like sk33tr says, the required concentration is demanding and tiring.
I know what it's like to be tired from working long hours.

Just keep doing well providing for your family and don't worry about people who comment insensitively.

I know, and I get all of that. It's just their comments made me feel like everyone else was beneath them. Driving goes both ways... lots of dipshit drivers out there driving trucks. It goes both ways.

that's true

but also, as Scarriere said, don't worry about what other people think or say.

Wondering if I need to actively be looking for another sign of work. Most of you know I’ve had a rough go of it when it comes to my merchandising position. While I enjoy it, I’m tired of it consuming my life, especially on my off time. Not to mention having work incomplete and rolling over to the next week because my teammate needs constant supervision. Which isn’t part of my job title and I’m not being paid enough to deal with
