That's how I got a very cheap copy of Mother India on DVD, as well as The Matrix Trilogy on Blu-ray for £2.99.

I'll let you know if I get it for a good price! And yes I do already own it (I think I actually paid full whack for it, so I've since taken it easy on buying Indicator titles at full price).
Thank you. I'm sure if the Sweeney Blu's get reduced and are still there you'll be snapping them up so I won't go there. Only ever bought one good title from a Charity Shop and that was a dvd collection. I guess it's right time right place and I can't get the two together.

"I could be so good for you", said the Charity shop to me never.

Today I had one of my most peculiar finds ever in a BHF. Of course it's region 1 so I will only be able to watch it on my laptop, but for £1 I don't care!

Limited edition of 50,000? Those were the days. I expect many standard edition Arrow or BFI blu-rays struggle to sell 20% of that during their catalogue life.

Great find by the way. Much better than mine:

£0.99 with slip.

Found this today, it's Region A locked but i use to watch Scared Stupid all the time when i was a kid. We had a video man who had a van and would rent films on tuesdays and saturdays. I would always try to get Ernest around Halloween time.

Will have to keep an eye out for a region free DVD player.

Why did they give Lord Crumb an extra, badly done digit?

They didn't. It's a lenticular slip which switches between the censored poster art, i.e. the two fingers to the standard one finger version. It's very cool. I remember buying it when it came out and it certainly wasn't a pound. Looks in remarkable shape. Great find.

I never EVER get good finds for this thread - I hardly even see blurays when I hit the charity shops - but I got Arrow's House Collection boxset from British Heart Foundation for £10 today and was pretty chuffed as I'd missed the boat on that one and just wasn't sure I wanted to pay full whack for it.

Finally a find!

BHF in Norwich had some Blu's, notably the BFI release of 'The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner' for £5. They've price-matched CeX it seems...

I've seen other BHF stores price match CEX so it might be a standard thing for them.

Can you remember what else did they had, out of interest?

They had a Nordic release of Game of Thrones: Season 2 I believe, Spartacus: Season 1, The Beatles: Yellow Submarine which was £10, all Blu-rays.

Just found this for 5€, never heard of it but I enjoyed some of Jeunet's previous films and it might be a good gift should I end up regretting getting this one.

Is it the the edition with the full storyboard? Great movie anyway and one of the best 3Ds ever.
