It seems Easy Rider received a 4K resto which will be screened at Cannes 2019.
But Cineteca collaborated, so... could be a mess.

Restored in 4K by Sony Pictures Entertainment in collaboration with Cineteca di Bologna. Restored from the 35mm Original Picture Negative and 35mm Black and White Separation Masters. 4K scanning and digital image restoration by L'Immagine Ritrovata. Audio restoration from the 35mm Original 3-track Magnetic Master by Chace Audio and Deluxe Audio. Color grading, picture conform, additional image restoration and DCP by Roundabout Entertainment. Colorist: Sheri Eisenberg. Restoration supervised by Grover Crisp.

Nice that they're doing a new remaster. Normally, I would be worried about Ritrovata but the fact they listed an outside colorist makes me a little more optimistic.

Looks like it's being overseen by Grover Crisp (hence why they're going with their local in-house studio for color grading), so should be fine. I'm assuming Sony outsourced the scanning to save money...

The grading is performed by Grover Crisp / Sheri Eisenberg.
Ritrovata performed the scan and the restoration.

But grading is the one area Ritrovata struggle with, so again, I think we’re good here.
