Was bored watching this in the theater. Love Robert Pattinson and was totally amped but it turned out to be Sci-fi paint dry.

I thought it was pretty entrancing. Definitely huge nods to the space aesthetic and colors of 2001. The pacing is kind of fragmented at times but the characters and visuals kept engaged the whole time. Recommended!

I liked it a lot and can't wait to see it again. It's the most memorable movie I've seen in theaters so far this year next to Climax.

actually came within inches of ordering the French Blu just a couple of weeks ago, but held off at the last second due to a high likelihood of forced subs. Glad I waited!

Big Denis fan and sad it never came theatrical locally.

To me, the cover looks like it's for a remake of Silent Running. I'm not thrilled about the cover, but it's not a big deal.

I am looking forward to giving this a second watch and maybe hopefully understanding it better (and I don't intend that as a knock against the film).

As far as I can tell, the French subtitles are indeed forced when you play the English language audio track. I was able to move them off the screen with my player though.

The Wild Side disc looks great, but it does seem to have a very, very slight windowboxing to it - not sure if that's just how it shows up on my TV, but it's not an issue I've had with any other films at 1.66:1 before. I'd be interested to hear how it displays for you, JezelleGHartman.

I know what you’re talking about because I already saw screencaps but I thought it was supposed to look that way... I’ve noticed the slight windowboxing in some of the trailers...

I also am going to blind buy this. I was bummed out that I never saw it in the theater, as I was really hoping to. But very much looking forward to this.

Hmm. Maybe it is supposed to look that way. Be interesting to see if it looks the same on releases in other territories, in any case.

The window boxing is because the film opens up to a wider ratio for the final scene. I remember being annoyed when I saw it theatrically because I thought that the theatre hadn’t properly masked the movie.
