I forgot about Amityville 3-D. It comes in a boxed set instead of a standalone package.

I hope Treasure of the Four Crowns is one of the silver age surprises Bob F
is hinting at. That's the movie that had me sold on 3-D. My dad took my older brother and I to see it when I was 9 years old. I was literally ducking to avoid arrows flying off the screen. ![]() |

The Fries Starchaser disc is region-free. Which makes me wonder if their license is worldwide. If so, then a foreign publisher may not be able to buy a license until the Fries license expires. |

for anyone who can either cross-view or parallel-view 3D:
these are taken from a snippet of film found in the rubble of a demolished building. Lo-res filmstrip scans were posted to the I remember the Rock N Roll Hotel facebook group about a decade ago. It looked like typical over/under 35mm 3D film, so I arranged these side by side just for the hell of it. It's not much to go by. |

Came across this info on the Incredible Shrinking Woman trivia page on IMDB...
Robert Blalack's tests exist of Lily Tomlin in various scenes that were shot for the film in the 3D format, which was having a resurgence of interest in the US at the time. It was produced and released in 2D, however. Also sort of interesting, John Landis was originally supposed to direct (Joel Schumacher took over). Even if the 3D fact isn't true, there is a tenuous link...the Gillman is featured as a kid's mask. I really have to question this because TISW was released in January 81 and Comin At Ya wasn't released until July. There's another link, Rick Baker's gorilla character flips the bird just like A*P*E! oops old news....https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...&postcount=106 Last edited by robtadrian; 07-29-2019 at 12:57 PM. |

On another note, I wonder if it was Landis' idea to try 3D. After all he also wanted to do a 3D remake of Creature from the Black Lagoon in the 80s right? It's not a priority but I would like to see the footage on a polarized blu-ray sometime in the future...(Rarities 3?) |

I'd love to see the Incredible Shrinking Woman 3D tests, I hope the footage turns up. I'm not surprised they abandoned the 3D plans, it would've been very complicated with the opticals and special effects involved. Although it might've been a good opportunity to take advantage of the miniturizing effects of hyper 3-D. Filming on oversized sets with an oversized interaxial should produce interesting results. poor quality: the video quality? the tests themselves? the 3D? |

For everyone else I found this online just now: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls063066658/ It is a list of the 3D Silver Age movies. Don’t know how accurate it is. Maybe Mr. Furmanek can glance over and give us is two cents. I can’t help but hope this new project is number 8. One of my childhood favorites. |

I’m hesitant to start the guessing game, and frankly I hope you’re right, but take a look at the list you posted. Look at who’s credited beside ‘Alpha Productions’ for ‘The Starlet’ Also, is this list suggesting there are DCP’s for the Korean 3D films? I had no idea there were so many 3D Korean films from the 70’s. It seems to suggest a company called The Korean Film Archive may have them? |
