Rewatched Prometheus today, I think I like it more after seeing Covenant. There really is a lot of good stuff here, but it tends to get overshadowed by the stupidity of some things. To be honest, I think this film has some of the highest highs and lowest lows of the entire franchise. But it's a damn good ride in spite of its shortcomings.

I am planning on watching this before I go see Covenant. I have always really enjoyed this movie.

I'm the exact same way. And I've been trying to watch this the last couple of nights and life keeps getting in the way. Grr.

Just re-watched this in 4K and still believe this is a terrific movie that will be much more appreciated with the passing years, just like other Scott movies.

It's borderline criminal that they didn't follow this story in Covenant and listened to naysayers.

Oooooh the thread got a pump again. I still remember when this was the whipping boy of the internet before things like Man of Steel and The Last Jedi entered the fray. There always seems to be one blockbuster movie that comes out once year that pisses off fans in some way.

I recently got a 4k player in Feb and the first or second movie I got was this-can't wait to watch in 4K

I loved Prometheus but hated Alien: Covenant.

I’m not sure which was worse, the beginning of Alien 3 after how great the end of Aliens was, or what they did in Covenant after how interestingly Prometheus set everything up.

Fake looking old man make-up hurts this film quite a bit. Wish they'd hired an old actor.

Max von Sydow was almost cast to play an older version of the character but complications arose.

I really enjoyed the first couple of minutes of Covenant with David, and thought I was in for another masterpiece, then the rest of the movie happened.
