I'm hoping that's not a typo. I can't believe I didn't notice earlier! If this is indeed the original ending it's pretty huge. Good lord.

Seems strange that Warner's isn't making a big deal about the 2 extra minutes (if that original ending scene is indeed being included and this isn't some marketing mistake). I would have expected them to really highlight it - something like "see the rare lost ending scene for the first time in nearly 40 years!"

Interesting that for the 4K Audio options they just say English etc... Makes you wonder will it get a ATMOS boost with a 7.1 core or is it just the updated 5.1 mix only.

I would prefer an ATMOS mix with a 7.1 core and the original theatrical MONO in PCM. Options for everyone.

This is why I still suspect it's just a mangled press release. They had the Euro running time listed for last years Fathom (?) release for example but of course it ended up being the American cut as one would expect.

Yeah, I feel like it's most likely a press release screw-up, too. Lost footage from a popular Kubrick film would be a huge marketing strategy, something that would definitely get fans to upgrade - and something that a studio would be shouting from the rooftops. Only time will tell, I guess.

Why would there be news? It was shot for one aspect ratio only, like every film. That’s what will be included.

Exactly, they will present it in the correct ratio (1.78 isn’t different enough from 1.85 to tell a difference, so that’s “correct” enough. None of the ridiculous open matte 1.33 nonsense.)
