Is anyone here familiar with the Alive label? It looks like quite a few of their releases have been confirmed as region A compatible on here. I want to purchase “Super Dark Times” and I have a Panasonic player that is pretty region friendly, but I don’t want to get stuck with a disc that is unplayable.

Can any of my German Brothers tell me if this have English subtitle?

On here it say that it have German and English subtitle.
But I managed to see the package online it clearly say Untertitel:keine on the back which I Google translate which mean no. So is the Blu-ray is a typo and it actually have English subtitle? Or the page on here is a typo.

Checked on 2 shops, both say no Eng. subtitles.
The German audio wasn't pitch corrected as well, no infos about the Eng. one.

Anyone get the German bluray of ..The Bravado's 1958 western with Gregory Peck ?? I never saw a review yet on here or dvd beaver. Waiting for someone to release a U.S. version like Kino, or Twilight Time.

CineSavant.com says that the new German Blu-ray of 1940 "The Mark of Zorro" is actually Region Free. The transfer is said to be excellent with a second disc with the film colorized (for those so interested).

This is the complete 16 discs set and I doubt that all of them are A/B/C, no matter what it says on the packaging. Nine of them, however, are available in 3 discs set. I'd like to know which ones of those DJANGO was talking about.

In case anyone is interested, the "I Am Nancy" disc from the 2019 quilted "Never Sleep Again" German mediabook, as I hoped and thought likely given that I've owned the standalone disc in the past and these editions usually contain the same discs with only the packaging and sometimes the disc labels being changed, is NOT Region B locked. However, the "Never Sleep Again" disc is.

How much of an issue is forced subs on English tracks please? I plan to buy the upcoming German release of Anything For Jackson.

having forced subs on original audio is practically a complete non-issue, it very very very very rarely happens with german labels anymore

only ones I´ve come across in recent years were some french boutique label releases and a few british releases of non-english language foreign films with forced english subs

that´s about it..

PS: checked Anything For Jackson infos and seems it doesn´t have any subtitles at all.. at least no one has any listed in the info about the release
