Others that I saw in the new cardboard display:

- Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 ($3)
- Season of the Witch (they had this before, but got lots of additional copies) ($3)
- Planet of the Apes (remake with Mark Wahlberg) ($5)
- I, Robot ($5)
- Dead in Tombstone ($3)
- Dead Again in Tombstone ($3) -- I picked both of these up at another location last weekend
- Some DVD seasons of Parenthood
- lots of other DVDs such as Dragonheart 4 (already had a number of copies of this), Madagascar 2, Scorpion King 3, Hard Target 2, and a lot of other animated films

Yep. I picked up 5 of them yesterday. The only one I couldn't find and would have got had they had it was The Seven Year Itch.

I still see plenty at the two stores near me, but nothing I'd want that I don't already have.

Yup, Disney has actually been dropping physical media distribution in some countries over the past year or two. Some no longer get bluray releases, some no longer get dvd releases. So they are probably going to be less inclined to release large back catalogs of physical media on new printings. Maybe some of these Fox titles wind up in the Disney Movie Club catalog. Maybe some Fox films get special releases when there is a major tent pole or relaunch of a title coming. But most of this physical media Fox dumping, will see less of those titles on new physical media re-releases in the future. And more of them as digital exclusives on Hulu or Disney+. Like 5-10 years from now, the only place to get Marilyn Monroe movies could be on Hulu. Etc.

7YI was a lone Monroe movie I found at BL years ago. I know some others have reported it months back. But it wasn't in the Monroe bundle that shipped recently.

I swung back by since I had a $5 off $15 and picked up the following:

- Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 ($3)
- Prometheus ($5)
- Planet of the Apes (remake with Mark Wahlberg) ($5)
- Australia($3)

The Prometheus version is this one:

The ultraviolet code didn't work in Vudu or Movies Anywhere. There is also the iTunes digital copy (using the disc). Anyone know if that's the only way to redeem the digital copy (or if that will work)? If so, is that standard definition only?

That looks like the version I picked up at my local store a few months ago. I did not have any issues redeeming the Ultraviolet code then. I either redeemed it at https://www.myuv.com/redeem (which seems to be deactivated now) or Vudu. I didn't want to give out my personal info at foxredeem.com.

I was travelling around today and stopped in the Torrington, CT store. Looking through the three movie displays, they had a good selection of Blu-rays from the last few shipments. None of the boxsets were there as expected at this time. I finally found a Some Like it Hot copy (bilingual cover, but that does not bother me). My local store never received any of the Monroe titles, but this one had around five of them. Grabbed an Amazing Spider-Man 2 3D copy as well after passing on it previously (before the UV code likely expires after the July 31 Ultraviolet shutdown, it redeemed on Vudu tonight).

I've checked two Big Lots in southern california and couldn't find The Fast and Furious 7 movie collection. I'm done searching, I give up. (I didn't actually find it under a 10 pound bag of potting soil like I said before, that part was a joke carried over from a previous page)

Imma wait until someone offloads that set (which they probably bought at Big Lots) for cheap on ebay.

Enter the code at foxredeem.com and see what it says.

You don't have to enter any of your info at Fox Redeem, and you missed out on a free 4K upgrade via iTunes.

Stopped by my somewhat nearby Big Lots yesterday, was hoping to find the PotA Legacy collection and the A-Team, but didn't see any of the new round of movies on the shelf.

I did manage to snag the last copy of Daredevil though, I passed up on it my last trip mistakenly thinking the edition lacked the director's cut. I don't recall being all that impressed when I first watched Daredevil years ago, but for $3 it's worth giving the movie another shot (especially with any possible future releases under Disney probably dropping many of the extras and increasing the cost) .

The four sided display was looking pretty sparse too, I hope the store isn't going to drop movies -- it's the only Big Lots close enough to consider driving to, the others are are far enough away I'd spend over an hour driving round trip.

Was there a new cardboard display there as well? I noticed on my second trip after the cardboard display that they had started moving some of the DVDs from the 4-sided display to the new cardboard display. Three sides of it are still completely full though. They do use the bottom 3 shelves of that 4th side for CDs. The top two shelves were dedicated to kids movies -- it's that stuff that mostly been moved to the new cardboard display.

I need to keep my eyes open for a 4K copy of Infinity War. It's crazy that copies are showing up at Big Lots, never saw that one coming.

The "Previously viewed" Disney Blus have been a thing on and off for my local Big Lots for a while. I was able to purchase a large chuck of MCU blus this way.

There wasn't a cardboard display up, though there was space to put one as the permanent 4 sided display was moved from it's usual spot a bit.

On the older permanent 4 sided display, two sides had a handful of DVDs each on a couple shelves, one side was full on all shelves with DVDs, and the last side had the blu-rays scattered on two shelves and a lower shelf plus some used for CDs.

I'm hoping the store is just late with receiving or putting up stock for some reason. It wouldn't be the first time that the store was either late or even seemed to skip a shipment for some reason (although I can't be certain if a shipment is truly skipped or severely late with not being able to stop by all that frequently.)

I'm considering making another trip out to the store in a week or so, hopefully this last shipment will show up, maybe in the cardboard display.

with previously viewed disney blurays at biglots, the prices at my store were so-so on the deal-meter. buying them off of ebay tending to be a better deal for me. now, the 4k avenger title for $10 would be a deal for me, my store has yet to put one out though..

I was by another location yesterday and stopped in. They didn't have the cardboard display, but they did have most of the recently reported stuff. I picked up another copy of the Planet of the Apes Legacy collection for a friend. Their four-sided display was completely packed and they also had a cart near the front of the store with clearance discs. I ended up picking up a couple of Scooby-Doo DVDs for $2.50 each and the Walking with Dinosaurs 3D bluray for $1.25.

Gotta love the $5 clearance stickers over the $5 price sticker. What a deal.

They had the Alien trilogy but I'm just not very fond of horror movies or aliens so it was a pass. Bought The Colony, The Numbers Station, and The Usual Suspects.
