Looks like we have the inside and back cover of the Batman Returns steelbook.

This is a screenshot pulled from the 1080p version. One thing worth mentioning is that the highlights on the Blu-ray can seem blown out at times, but the 4K HDR version does not. I've seen it mentioned on one or two reviews so far as well. This could also be a calibration issue but I'll assume we know what's best for our devices.

The newly added sound fx to the Atmos mix is equally great and unnecessary. You might catch yourself going, "Why did we need to add this?" or "This is a fun new sound." Most of the weaponry has undergone new treatment.

Yes. The menus are the very lazy "standard" menus that WB puts on every disc. Nothing special here.

Looking great. The colors are sex. I didn't watch '89 for years and can't wait to revisit it. I miss Vale's screams.

I just rewatched the 1989 Batman with my fiance - it's been one of my top 5 films since I was 5, and she's never seen it before - and it just occured to me how contrived the plot is in getting Vicki Vale into the Joker's life.

He sends Bob the Goon to find out what Knox knows about Batman by taking pictures of Knox and Vicki...including an obvious posed pic of Knox...and somehow said photos are sufficient work for Bob to call it a day, even though he found zilch about what Knox knew about Batman...which was zilch anyay! Looney toons, especially since the script could have worked by having the Joker already be a fan of Vicki's war pictures.

Still love the film, mind you!

The Matrix BD remaster was blown out, so this would not surprise me.

I'm getting the individuals, then selling them in August/September right before the Steelbook set. Say, $12-$14 each. I gotta have these right away, but I do prefer the steelbook set overall. That set is a bit cheaper too, so it kinda evens out haha.

I debated this with The Dark Knight trilogy as well and, ultimately, the boxsets don't offer many incentives to either wait or buy once/sell/buy again. I'm not crazy about the box design or the steelbooks either, so I guess that had a hand in swaying my decision.

I think it might be the most divisive part of the new remaster. I'm very ok with new remasters keeping the original audio. I don't have this desire for constantly "updating" the audio mixes.
