Tealman returns. These releases seem to be real missed opportunities imo. I'm so glad that warners is now doing releases at 1.85

As was said, it's so he can rip his mask off - which he does in that scene - without looking like a goofball. This happens with all the modern batman movies, even the Nolan ones at certain points. It's just one of those little movie things you either accept or you don't.

That bit always made me laugh, I really noticed it last year when I spun it around Christmas.

They should have had him start ripping the mask off while showing it from the rear and then as he rips it up to his eye cut back to the front so it wouldn't be so jarringly obvious

Considering the movie has been out for 25+ years and many people here (myself included) didn't notice it, I wouldn't call it "jarringly obvious."

And if you're not looking to suspend disbelief, maybe you shouldn't watch a movie about a man-penguin.

A lot of detail has been crushed (nothing new on some of these recent BD remasters). In the one Forever pic, you can barely see Batman...cannot really see Kidman at the bottom of it. This frame is terrible.

Can anyone confirm if Burton was involved in the 4K and remastering of his 2 movies?

Older movies can look great as long as the studio and the people in involved would actually put effort into the remasterings.

I always noticed the black eyes thing and wondered why they couldn't design a cowl that worked without the need for that (smaller eye holes or smth)... Lol

Although to be honest, I don't even think the black make up is necessary.

Also, the thought of Bruce Wayne showing up with huge black eyes because he didn't have time or forgot to scrub the things out makes me laugh. So much for a secret identity...

There was a scene Nolan had in mind for Batman Begins with that very idea. After saving Rachel, Bruce was going to come up from the cave for the party, with the black eye makeup still on, and Alfred was going to mention it. but it took the wind out of the sails of the film's momentum.

One of my masks has smaller eye holes.
I cut them out, trust me you do not want hard latex poking you in the eye all day.

Hello, do you think that the Blu-ray of each film will be zoned or not? I'm going to order the separate movies, I'm French but I know that 4k Blu-ray is not zoned.
So my question because I have some Blu-ray US import that passes at home.

The constant problem with designing the cowl is how can it be practical to wear and allow the actor and stunt men to see out of. Adam West complained of the lack of peripheral vision his cowl had, so smaller eyeholes wouldn’t be violable solution and would be very uncomfortable.

I always wondered what stopped them from doing what was originally scripted was to have write reflective lenses, but Burton has always said Keaton’s eyes got him the job and he didn’t want to hide them in his costume.

That was a failed attempt at humor from David Goyer in the first draft. It wasn’t in the final draft, so Nolan nixed that idea as soon as he began revising.

Will these go 4k for digital, too? Currently, iTunes and Vudu just have them in HD/HDX... $40 and $36 respectively.
