The germans have my favorite one so far
I love the steelbook with the hand. Amazon.de has a 4 disc release. Problem is that I can't order it. Either it's sold out or it's not available yet for pre-order.

The dutch have a different steelbook, also 4 disc.
I can pre-order it, but I prefer the hand.

That's literally the most unreliable system ever made by human hands.

When I was attempting to pre-order Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition once upon a time, I signed up for that. It would email me a heads-up days after going up. So basically, it'd be notified days after it was pre-sold-out. Again.

A far more useful method of keeping track of stuff is https://www.nowinstock.net/ since they send out notifications within a minute.

I would be OK with the 'Dutch' one if that is what the Zavvi turned out to be. It is still one of the poster arts, referencing Cinematerial website. My preferred art is the teaser.

The then active pre-orders for the German SteelBook Alitas were added a few days ago with the purple Alita for the 4K/3D/BD/bonus SB and the black/hand for the 3D/BD SB, but then Amazon seems to have the covers swapped from what the German blu-ray.disc site has posted and the 2-disc edition saying it's a 4K/3D vs a 3D/BD and so we swapped the covers on the listings then and after that Amazon made the pre-orders inactive so great confusion.

I still think the 4K/3D/BD/bonus edition in purple is the most logical cover because that way the SteelBooks are divided into something like this: Alita with sword and group = UK/India, Hand = rest of Europe/Japan/US, Purple = Deluxe

Do you actually use this nowinstock.net I browed it and it seemed out of date and not easy to use. Did I not give it a full chance? Does is only work with UK steelbooks?

The Amazon Germany Version was in stock for about a week and maybe 3-4 days ago it went OOS. So it will either be a while and be in stock for a short period of time or won't come back in stock ever again. That's is my opinon but I'd be surprised if I'm wrong. It seems they didn't make very large print runs for any of the versions of this movie. I don't think they thought there would be this much demand for a film that would certainly been considered a bomb in the U.S. especially considering how much money was in it's budget.
I'm not sure how it did in the ROTW.

Guys I ordered the 4k steelbook with the purple art. but now when I look at my orders I see the Hand steelbook's picture in my orders ?! and when I click on it, it takes me to the 3d version not the 4k.
I remember checking yesterday and it was the purple version under my orders. plus I cant find the hand steelbook with a 4k.

when checking my confirmation email I see the purple steelbook.

Admittedly I only used it a handful of times for stuff I really wanted and was usually (pre)sold-out instantly. The last time I used it was for the DMC5 Deluxe Edition.

Has yet to fail me.

rickah88, I see a purple Alita in the 4K/3D/BD/bonus SB, no hand. ?

(Well I see two hands attached to Alita's purple body but you know what I mean )


But seriously, what happened was that Amazon switched the 4 disc cover to the hand for a time (and the 3D/BD SB hand listing to a 4K/3D listing and purple cover too) creating lots of confusion.
