The US Image 2-disc DVD set didn't include them, which is what I used to own. It was pretty much a direct port of the early-2000s set except for There It Is since it was borrowed for that Treasures set. While it was a good set, they were PAL conversions, so there was speedup and ghosting. Sort of an oddity since I think it was the only Lobster release direct through Image since everything else was through Kino or Flicker Alley.

Same - surprised they're this early. The Man Who Laughs is already one of my favorite silents, but I'm excited about seeing The Last Warning finally.


Just put in my pre-orders for Fragment of an Empire and Charley Bowers. Flicker Alley is literally the only label where I'm pre-ordering practically all of their new releases.

Wow, that's even before their own street date of 5/28.


EDIT - just placed mine. Even cheaper than Amazon. It's $27.95. With shipping and sales tax it came out to $33 and some change. It would have been a bit more on Amazon and would have shipped that first week of June. I'm hoping FLicker Alley ships mine out like you guys.

Yeah, I'm surprised its this early myself. They usually send there stuff before release date but never this early. This is Diabolik like early for FA. I always get their stuff direct from FA.

CineMuseum who worked with FA on Vol 1 mentioned that it was in production but doesn't look it will meet its Early 2019 release. I myself would like to hear more about Vol 2.:

Given that Mack Sennett has producer credit on 1,117 films (IMDB.com), and it was five years ago for the FA Vol 1 first 50 set, this series is going to be awhile.

I don't know how much interest there is in Mary Pickford round these parts but I emailed Flicker Alley asking if they had plans to put out any more of her films. I was told they were working with the Mary Pickford Foundation on getting two more releases and that they would probably have some kind of announcement in Q4.

I didn't realize so many pre-ordered releases were out this Tuesday. I had to make a decision on which to postpone till a later date.
My question - these aren't limited titles, are they? They should be around in the near future for me to pick up?

This Tuesday? They've been shipping since even before their own release date which was 5/28. Folks were getting their titles as early as 5/16. That's if you ordered from Flicker Alley directly. Amazon starts shipping Tuesday.

I think one will be A Little Princess since that was in the Flicker Alley calendar given out.
