i dont have any steel of this or copy. i would prefer both cuts but im fine with it. at least its only $22 & not 30 or more like most these days.

No, those aren’t the only differences. There are digital push-ins in the DC that weren’t in the theatrical as well, and 2 scenes have been reversed and are now in a different order.

Of course the pre-order price went back up. I figured ah well, my 20% "first order" coupon will help the price quite nicely. The cart let me add it but not apply it; I commenced with the order and reached out to them by email.

A rep told me that the coupon was inapplicable because the item is an "FYE Exclusive". I canceled it and will await a price drop...not paying over $20 just for packaging.

Update: after pleading my case to an FYE rep, they're going to apply the 20% code.

So for first-time buyers, it adds a bit of incentive if you just want this for the steelbook case (like I do.)

My pre order that i placed a few months ago for this was cancelled SMFH !!!! No wonder FYE is done as there are none here in NY ..And why are they getting this exclusive and not best buy ? Guess i have to order the German Steelbook or overpay on EBAY

Just called the FYE in Meriden, CT. Clerk said there are no copies, but her system was telling her the release date is July 9th. Currently unavailable on the website. Something fishy going on.

Honestly I cannot deal with the "director's cut" of this film. That's why I have hung onto my DVD for so long (and honestly, it's not a bad encode for 480p).

What a joke ,Its a nice Steel book too .I know it will not have any of the deleted scenes but the steelbook made up for that ,Oh well another Paramount fiasco

Yeah the DC is an abomination but my plan was to swap it with the (awesome) German TC disc. For under $20, the steelbook by itself is a beauty.

i ordered this back in April & i as well got an email for cancellation. i was wondering what was going on. for the last week i kept going to the site/checking email trying to find out if its even being shipped or being able to track. couldnt find anything. this blows. the steel was great. i didnt notice any of this til i came in this thread. the mailman came early & i was hoping the steel would be there.

I heard from someone that the actual store did not have this release on their shelves. Maybe the release date has been pushed back.

even if it did get pushed back i would think we would just get a notification of just that. not a whole cancellation.

For those trying to use eBay, I wouldn't be sure about them being reliable...it would appear to me that the listers were banking on their pre-orders to be fulfilled, after which they'd sell them for more than twice the cost.

I wouldn't be surprised if those poor souls who placed orders there saw a rash of cancellations as well.

After an ongoing chat with the FYE rep who's been helping me, I asked if the item was pulled or delayed. Her response:

No there was a system error and you all should be getting emails shortly notifying you of the error. The item is releasing today, and will be shipping shortly. Thanks again for alerting me to the issue so I could get our team on correcting the error as quickly as possible.
