Yeah, it's weird how different members are seeing different things. There are several BestBuys within "reasonable" driving distance from me that still have these. I just get the "Find a Store" button.

I am not picturing this as that scarce since I check the bay and there are several available (granted it's over $50) but they are not being bought (some of the prices are outrageous). I think many are hoping for a restocking; I would too

If I missed out, at least I would not pay these ebay prices. The movie was OK but that steelbook is pretty so I bought it mostly for the looks since it was available. Mad Max was loved by many people; same for bumblebee.

It's human, we always obsess over things we miss (you know like the one hot chick who got away).

I don't know why...Godzilla's just not my thing. I do have the old "roaring" metalpak still sealed. Can't decide if I want to sell it or just know that something pretty cool is in my collection haha.

I'm not crazy about the look of the new BB steelbook either.

I'm spending too much lately with Marvel, Disney, and Pixar coming out to buy something I don't just love, especially since I hear the movie was just fair.

Picked up a copy. Most of the best buys with 25 miles of me still have them in stock. My main store had about 5, but the websites is showing the others around here only have a couple left.

I've learned my lesson on waiting for price drops on steelbooks I really want. Better to make sure I get a copy in good condition than try to save a few bucks and wind up disappointed.

Told myself I would not get this but loved the movie so much and seeing how rare it has become I luckily found one for ISP. I'll sell my digital copy from the 3D set and extra Blu-ray to get a little $ back....

Just wondering, when you sell an extra Blu-Ray or DVD disc what do you ship them in?

I usually just sell them locally on fb marketplace to not have to deal with shipping, etc.

Call me crazy but I think this one will be restocked soon. No one should panic for now.

Didn't know that. Last ones I can remember selling surprisingly fast was Halloween and maybe Crimes of Grindelwald.

Even that lingered around in my area. Was able to pick one up a few weeks after release.

I just got back from a couple Best Buy stores. In the second one the guy looked up the steelbook in his system, found a few in the suburbs. But also mentioned that on Tuesday he thought there would a restock.

Not that that is a guarantee, but it did seem strange, in both Godzilla is nearly sold-out, including the regular 4K (1) and the BD (2 or 3) sets. And yet there were piles and piles of ALL the Marvel steelbooks, all the Toy Story, just huge quantities in each store. Not as many Rocketman but plenty of those as well.

Godzilla is Warner Brothers. Rocketman is Paramount.

The Marvel & Pixar steelbooks are easy to find because it's Disney. The house of mouse have been releasing steelbooks in massive quantities for some time now.

That...and catalog releases does not sell so fast because many of potential customers already have them/seen them multiple times.
In my opinion Godzilla steel was very well done & like Blade Runner 2049 quantities per store was really modest.

The point is, actually, that I think they underestimated demand, as this Godzilla was not a huge success at the box office. As I mentioned in the post, the others were nearly sold out as well (regular 4K and BD).

I have a feeling those Captain America steels are going to end up next to the Atari E.T. carts.
