HUGE thumbs up for SCARS OF DRACULA and BLOOD FROM THE MUMMY'S TOMB

FRIGHT isn't very good but it's Susan George in high definition--- sold!

STRAIGHT ON TIL MORNING is that uber-rare Hammer film that I don't at all care for... one pass for me.

No, haven't seen these things, have not been coming here a lot until recently. So, I was not aware that they have tried before. Kinda makes sense now why I haven't' seen insiders posting. Ok, thanks guys.

Haven't heard of the other two but I'll be getting Blood From the Mummy's Tomb and Scars of Dracula. Scars is my least-favorite Hammer Dracula film but it has its moments. Blood, however, is my favorite of the Mummy sequels and in some ways I even like it a little more than The Mummy itself.

I'd love to see a sales comparison between Vice Squad and a Sorority House Massacre 2 release. Perhaps I'm way off, but I feel that while Vice Squad may have a wider market, that the market for SHM2 is more ravenous and would actually help lead to higher sales.

I, for one, think it would be great.

While most of them don't openly discuss things with fans any longer, they most certainly lurk and are a fairly regular presence here on site and see what is being said. On occasion CMAC will still chime in on individual film discussions to clarify things or provide a bit more detail, but never in the Scream Factory thread since all of us crazies hang out here.

We all have our quirks, but sadly some of the more overzealous members tend to take things a bit too far and as a result we've mostly burned the few bridges we had regarding inside info. The good news is that there are a handful of regular posters here that can and do provide accurate information/rumors/speculation that you can usually take to heart and that this is usually more often than not just as useful, if not more so, than what the insiders from any company could safely provide anyways.

It's interesting that they announced 4 all together today. That was essentially what I had voiced that I wished they'd do in past months in regards to Hammer/Universal horror releases. This certainly leads to some hope that there will be something outside of the Hammer/Universal stuff announced this week. Tomorrow I'm expecting another Corman steelbook or regular release announcement if not a older Universal or a single film Double Dip announcement. I'm particularly interested in what Wednesday or Thursday's (if we get that far) announcements are for however as they could be a sign of things to come for the next few months, or it could be something substantial in the lead up to Halloween. Either way, this is usually my favorite month for announcements so I'm excited to see how it goes.

Knocking these announcements seems weird when you've got a petition for Cheerleader Camp, which is significantly worse than any of the titles announced today.

I would say it's VERY subjective that the criticisms that the Kino Insider has to put up with are "stupid". They are VERY justifiable in my book. For Scream and Shout! as well. Some folks can get a bit carried away sometimes I guess but again, their frustration is very understandable. Mainly when it's dealing with QC issues. Pricing is a whole other story.

I'm eating up all these Hammer and British films, plus the Lewtons and Universals.

Fans not into the older titles should be happy they're throwing 4 of them out there all at once. That way they'll get through them quicker and you'll hopefully get some more recent titles soon.

I just think with their Studio Canal and Universal deals, there were a lot more older genre titles available in those libraries. Eventually the well will dry up.

About time both come to blu-ray, Vampires is out of print and nice to see it re-issued and Fear no evil never had a blu.

Hope for Company of Wolves or Freaked.

Haha, it's almost as if Scream waited for Indicator's region free Vampires to sell out before announcing this. The limited edition just went OOP over the weekend and now Scream announces. Good timing.

Fear No Evil is a must have for me. Was hoping VS would get it but I'll take a Scream Factory release as well.

I ordered the rainbow slip edition of The Babadook just now, since I don’t own any previous editions on Blu-ray and since it supports a great cause. I had mixed feelings about this movie when I saw it at the theater, because, once I realized what the title creature was, the film fell flat for me. It’s a nice slice of creepiness, though, and I’ve been meaning to give it another viewing.

I have the Twilight Time edition of John Carpenter’s Vampires, so I’m squared away on that end. I’m thrilled about Fear No Evil and the four Hammer announcements, though, so I’ll be grabbing them on payday.
