The original DVD release only had 15 episodes because Warner was able to obtain the rights to only 15 of the 24 episodes at the time.

The new Blu-ray release has 23 of the 24 episodes because Warner was able to obtain the rights to every episode from the series except for the one featuring the Addams Family.

I went ahead and ordered it my nephew has been coming over every day and I need some Scooby Doo mo it’s to keep him busy.

Watching my copy now. But only episode 1- errands to attend to
Colors are bright
Audio is lossy 2.0 (English Dolby Digital 2.0ch 48kHz 192Kbps, French as well. (Box states Dolby Digital 5.1, French 5.1)
Opening credits on Episode 1 does not feature the Addams Family.
AVC encode
OAR 1.33 (box states 16x9, 1.78)
English and French subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing are great
2 Discs
Episode 1 plays between 7-19Mbps
There are visible imperfections but so far it’s mainly little white dots on dark/black backgrounds
No compression issues that I see
Menu is static image with a rock beat playing but not consistent with music from Series

Does the opening remove the other guest stars too, or just the Addams Family? The original DVD removed them all.

Just finished Ep1, no celebrities in closing credits and none in opening. Looks like some hard breaks in there.

I always liked that opening, reminds me of Boomerang as a kid. I hope this drops to $30 soon.

It's a bummer. I was hoping they could restore the original intro and just remove the Addams Family segment. The revised version looks like they shoved random footage into the gaps with little thought behind it. Not a deal breaker, but yeah... bummer

Yeah the edited opening is a bit sloppy and some of the clips sag the momentum of the sequence. The sound of the door opening in the Laurel & Hardy shot is also still there, which is really jarring, and it's sloppy to see Shaggy's lips move in the Batman & Robin replacement shot. Also, the ghost in the Addams Family replacement shot wouldn't produce a shadow. They could've chosen much better clips. I may have to work on my own version when I get the set.

The fact they would’ve had to re-edit the intro from scratch means that these are probably HD masters from 2004.

To be very fair, Warner's DVD masters for most of their HB properties were very, very good as far as I can tell. I own The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo Where Are You (including "Season 3"), The Scooby-Doo/Dynomut set, and Jonny Quest. All look very sharp and colorful, even on 2004-2006-era DVDs.
