If Shout renews with Warner I'd like upgrades of the Steven Seagal movies that never made it past DVD, like Fire Down Below and On Deadly Ground. There's at least one other one I'm forgetting. I'm pretty sure Warner doesn't give a f**k about Seagal so these films are licensable. Collector's Editions of Executive Decision and Eraser wouldn't hurt either.

If Scream has it, we'll know for sure next month. Does Scream usually wait for Comic Con to make their October announcements, or do they still do it at the start of the month?

There are a number of lesser tier horror titles that Warner has that I think we were all expecting to have gotten from Scream Factory...

-Thirteen Ghosts
-Dr. Giggles
-feardotcom

After looking at the last year of releases I'm wondering if these just weren't what Scream bothered to even go after. It seems obvious now that 2019 has been the year for pre-1970's horror based on the titles they've released, with a sprinkling of the types of stuff we expected. If a second deal with Warner can/does occur, I wouldn't be surprised to see these lower tier modern efforts make their way to the line along with other surprises. Warner let go of The Exorcist II, and despite it's poor reputation as a film, is still attached to a big brand name. I have to think that while the Jason's and Freddy's may never happen, that the above stuff still could/would.

It's quite interesting really... while I personally haven't had much interest in the Hammer stuff, to see so much of it all come out under one company like this is something that even I can readily appreciate.

The titles you mentioned fall into that same category of... "Are there really people asking for this stuff?" Which, to me, would open the door to a company like Scream Factory to step in and put it out as I can't imagine it's on any sort of Radar at Warner. Even the vaunted Archive line which took forever to release Leatherface, a much more highly regarded/requested film, shouldn't be too bothered by licensing out the above films both you and I mentioned.

Last year, I believe we had the October announcements at the start of the month, and then most of the November announcements were announced at Comic Con.

I wanna say comic con last year was mostly announcements for November, right? CANDYMAN was Nov. I think the CRITTERS box was as well.

So, October will likely be announced before then.

*Ken beat me to it.

I wonder if we were supposed to see more Corman titles being announced along with the Hammer titles, but the legal issue with Corman's kids prevented it. Is there any update with all of that?

And by Corman, I mean stuff Scream has not released yet! Though I am looking forward to the steels that are coming since I never purchased the old releases.

Child's Play 2 and 3 CEs i'm guessing will be a comic con announcement.

Killdozer maybe, perhaps Deadly Friend CE or Dr Giggles CE.

-Synapse (Only Blu Ray's) (1 Cut of the film)
-Lionsgate (or another major) (Blu Rays & 4k discs) (Could be 1 cut, could be all cuts)(I could see a Blade Runner style release where initially it's a multi disc set but eventually settles into just the theatrical cut and that's it)
-Scream Factory (Blu Rays only) (Probably all cuts)
-Vinegar Syndrome (Blu Ray's only) (All Cuts)
-Severin (Blu Ray's Only)(1 cut)
Rearranged in order of who has the money to throw around:
Lionsgate
Scream/Shout! Factory
Arrow Video
Well Go USA
Vinegar Syndrome/Severin
Synapse

Your ordering is fair but in the end, it'll be all about the Benjamins.

People keep mentioning Child’s Plays 2 & 3 but it never happens. May I ask what makes this year so different?

Do they they? I don't recall seeing the 2 and 3 speculation until after they did the CE for the original a couple years ago.

So, new deals, prior CE for 1, and the remake hitting this year....I don't know how likely it is, but it's not impossible. And there's definitely reason to think it could happen.

These are such obvious choices for Collectors editions that it hurts. Until they happen people will always continue to believe that they are just around the corner. With that said this would be a very, very good year to announce them. New Reboot movie rolling out in 3 weeks, new tv show that may very well see a teaser or at least some sort of promotion at comic con, potentially limited options for other Comic Con announcements that would be well received...

But I'm still not holding my breath that these will ever happen.

The Child's Play sequels seem to be the only Universal titles I'm still waiting on from Scream. I was also waiting for Dragonheart and Silent Running from Shout Select but I've since turned my nose to Arrow for those since they've got a North America deal with Universal now.
Anything else from Scream is welcomed but not expected to me.

I hope they are still working with Warner. I really wanted The Guyver films. There's still hope with Warner Archive but it'll be a bare minimum release.

Why haven’t we gotten Sorority House Massacre II and Hard to Die? Ugh.

I want these but I don’t want to pay the price that are being asked for on eBay for oop dvds.

Anyone think we’re going to get them? If not, going to start selling my blood so I can get the overpriced dvds to add to my collection. LOL

Guyver MIGHT be coming from Arrow at some point. I messaged a little while ago if they ever planned on bringing their UK Guyver release to the US and they said, they would like to and to wait and see. Not a confirmation, but it's at least something they have considered. They are long overdue here.

Pretty sure we're done with September outside of maybe an IFC title.
