Does this really warrant its own thread? Would have been perfectly suited for this thread:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=302394 Anyways, did you actually try adding the items to your cart and checking out? I'm pretty sure it's just a glitch on the part of Amazon UK. Most people have reported that it still allows them to complete check out with a US shipping address, despite the message. |

I'm going to guess you didn't actually try to preorder, just looked at the listing and stopped instead of charging through like normal. Like I said in a couple other threads, if the red line bothers folks enough to not just ignore it and go through checkout like normal --- just change the location in the upper left to a London Postal Code like WC2N 5DU then the label disappears. It doesn't change anything about actually checking out which hasn't been an issue anyway, but it eliminates having to actively ignore the mistake. Last edited by hariseldon; 05-07-2019 at 05:07 AM. |

It doesn't stop you from ordering them though. It's apparently a glitch.

It seems that Amazon.uk is no longer selling 3D movies to the US.

Go through checkout like normal and there isn't a problem. Amazon is trying to figure out what going on. My advice just order and don't worry about it. Those items that are truly blocked won't let you past the address entry. On a site where nobody ever follows any directions I'm not sure why this one is causing so much trouble. |

Strange how that message started showing up on all sorts of preorders, including CDs. Then one day it switched to “can be shipped.” Anyway, I did successfully place my order as everyone said. In the past I had titles get bumped out of orders because I was from the US so it made me extra nervous when I saw that line. With Amazon Global I keep expecting the worst to happen one day.

man had 3 packages from amazon uk sent via asendia to canada. one package with 2 blurays went missing and is still missing, second package with 4 blurays, the box was damaged and 2 blurays went missing, only one package arrived safely out of 3... such bad luck.
had to contact amazon customer service for replacement, and they say all my shipments seemed to have problem so had to transfer me to specialist for investigation. Got replacement no problem but now I am afraid to go standard shipping with asendia again. dont wanna get banned for bad shipping...might have to get priority shipping for end game 3d... ![]() |

But what I can absolutely tell you is that you have no need to worry about being penalised by Amazon, let alone banned, if there is genuinely no fault of your own, regarding bad shipping of any kind. I had over 50 damaged orders from Amazon UK to Switzerland in 2018 (I maintain a list), and I got replacements or refunds for them all without issue (often without need to return; if I returned them, they always paid return shipping); in addition, half a dozen never arrived (this is rarer), and about 20 arrived up to a week later than expected (I asked and usually got partial/shipping refunds). In several cases, I had to get two replacements for the same item, because the first replacement also arrived damaged! These always require a specialist investigation and always go through without further problems. On top of that, I requested dozens of replacements or refunds for other reasons like defects etc (in the first few months, before I knew better, I even successfully requested many simply because the product images showed a slipcover that I did not receive). All of my orders were with standard shipping, and about 60% of my orders were delivered by Asendia, because Asendia is actually a collaboration set up between National Post services of France and Switzerland ("international mail joint venture of French La Poste and Swiss Post"). They are not the only standard shipping provider, and certainly are not the worst offender when it comes to damage and loss. In fact I believe they have become Amazon UK's main provider this year (at least for Europe) because of their better track record. Most of my 2018 complaints occurred when Amazon UK was testing other international shipping providers (for about a month each) last year. An important thing to remember is that most of the time the damage is to the products inside (not the parcel) because ultimately Amazon should have used more protective packaging. If you maintain your integrity and only ever tell the truth, are always open about exactly what the problem is (always give a specific description of damage) you have no risk of being banned. Take photos of externally damaged parcels before opening them if it's shockingly bad, just for feedback purposes about the shipping provider, but even this isn't necessary. If the problem(s) in one particular period is/are particularly bad, drop them an email at cs-reply@amazon.co.uk describing everything (including order numbers and full product titles) instead of going via the website returns channel. Be open to accept gift cards in lieu of card refunds if they suggest it (though this is rare and not a dangerous subject either). Just never lie, be clear, and you'll be fine, at least with regard to shipping issues. ![]() Last edited by rwc; 06-07-2019 at 12:16 PM. |

ok thanks for the advice. I had a new order yesterday that I chose priority because i was afraid of asendia. But after reading your experience. I changed to standard again. standard is 5 pounds while expedited 12 pounds and priority 15 pounds. Saved me 10 pounds. hopefully the previous 3 shipments were just bad luck. ![]() I never pick "Standard" shipping when importing on Amazon. I pick "AmazonGlobal Standard", which usually isn't too much more expensive. I haven't gotten stuck with Asendia doing that and I don't need to pay far more by going with priority or expedited. |
