Just thought I'd start up a general Barnes & Noble thread, considering the other one is pertaining to the semi-annual Criterion sale. Goal is to shout out specific deals that when factoring in shipping and exchange that work out to be pretty good. Hope this is ok with the mods!

The 40% all in-stock blurays (minus Criterions and a few other exceptions) + coupons off sale going on right now isn't too hot for most titles, for us Canadian customers, but this one was cheap enough to make mention.

Twin Peaks: Limited Event Series - w/ 40% off + 25% (WISHLIST code for 25% off) + shipping + tax = ~$37.50 USD or ~$49.90 CAD

40% off movies sale is happening again. Trying to place an order with the 15% - 20% off code "FATHERSDAY" but it won't let me. Keeps giving me this message:

Does the message pop up when you enter the code or on the last page when you try to confirm the order?

Right when I enter the code, before check out.

Actually... you had me re-think my method. I get that message when I enter it on the cart page. But when I go to checkout and just before hitting the confirm order button, there's another spot to enter the discount code and it works there! Thanks

Now if only the F&F Set would come back into stock...

I made a few purchases with the Father's Day sale, and some items its says are not allowed to ship to Canada.

I tried purchasing The Nun (the Kino disc) and They Live (the Scream Factory disc) and both wouldn't allow me to send them to Canada.

Thank you! Just placed my order too and included another movie and still cost me less than ordering with Amazon! Haha

Will have to return the Amazon one now as it just shipped yesterday.

Same here, I tried to have Amazon price-match Barnes just to avoid having to deal with returning the item to Amazon but they didnt want.

The Amazon price for the set was around 105$ Canadian ... the B&N price with the 20% assuming FX is 1.35 it's like $77, minus the re-sell of the codes... that's an amazing deal!

Always expect the worst FX rate. I now always use 1.38-1.4. Just because :P

i have both ebates.ca and ebates.com , over a decade, i got back about $300 each account

I thought about opening an ebates.com a while ago but didn't have anything to order at the time to get the account opening bonus. But of course now that I made an order on Amazon.com last month and one on Barnes and Noble earlier today I ended up forgetting all about it.

Oh well, there's always next time.

Also, it's a shame B&N doesn't seem to ship Shout Factory Blu-Rays to Canada (or maybe it's some of them, I don't know).
