I just don't think I can justify these steels. They look like crap. May just get the regular versions at some point.

Some are OK but I prefer most of my existing steelbooks for these movies so maybe just one or two.

Glad that my Metal Paks have an empty slot available for the 4K UHD where the DVD coaster was.

I agree, I get that some people like the simplicity of these but I do not. Toy Story is a perfect example, I think the Zavvi steelbooks trash all over the Best Buy exclusive steelbooks.

Made in china. Steels cost about a dollar to manufacture and paint. Discs are basically nothing. Authoring these discs is pretty much bone dead stuff outside of audio for the digital films. And the audio is nothing special.

It's pure profit. And when it seems like they really are not trying hard, as we see with these Pixar steels, well I can't reward that.

All the Zavvi steels are so far above this garbage. I kind of like the Rat one, but that is only because that Eiffel Tower Zavvi was really weird.

It leaves me in the position of mostly disgust to be honest. They had better just leave the animated classics to special designs, or I will have a cow.
I've never understood when people complain about how something is done for pure profit. Of course it is. SteelBooks aren't the necessities of life.
You make it sound like because they make these then you have to have them to live.

Same. I'm not in love with the art, but they look great enough; especially compared to the regular slip versions. I do have the slip versions for Toy Story 1-3 though; I prefered them over the steelbooks.

I don't think I'm going to commit to these steelbooks. I'm not a huge steelbook collector and I told myself (referring to the 4K releases) that I was only going to collect steelbooks for the MCU, DCU and a few choice others depending on the movie. It's way too expensive to try to keep up. I'm not even sure I'm going to upgrade all of my Pixar and Disney movies to 4K. My plan is to pick and choose and just get my favorites. I did buy The Lion King (regular) and The Little Mermaid (steelbook) because I love the movies and I liked TLM steelbook, but have no plans to rebuy everything in 4K (maybe over the years, but not on release days). I bought the Toy Story steelbooks, but disappointed in the TS4 steelbook coming out. Out of these Pixars, I might get one or two of these, whether they are steelbook or not, I haven't decided.

What the god? Why would you sell completely superior steelbooks for this garbage? Are you insane?

No, it's just obvious these are barely custom designs anymore. It's basically factory garbage they are pushing out with the most minimal work being done. It sucks to be honest.

I don't have any 3D steelbooks, I mean the old standard releases.

Oh. Well I have lenticular 3Ds and some of the ultimate slip 3Ds and there is no way I will be selling those either. All of them are superior to what we are getting now.

I only got into Steelbooks late last year so I missed all the previously issued Pixar Steelbooks. No question the older editions have a better display value. Going to mix and match the older editions and the new versions to compile a full set.

I went ahead and got the Zavvi editions for the Cars series, Inside Out and Nemo/Dory which are still somewhat reasonably priced on the secondary market. Will pick up the new BB versions for Ratatouille, Brave and Good Dinosaur as well as the unannounced bugs life, monsters series, and wall-e

Will look to add the 4K editions of Nemo/Dory and Inside Out come Black Friday.

Only thing missing will be the original Incredibles. Really wish that would get a reissue as aftermarket prices are close to $100. Ouch...

Yeah, that's what I meant. I'd rather have the 4K versions and I don't have the money, space, or desire to keep multiple copies of most movies.

Definitely an issue for me as well. I will probably be getting my brother to make a hardwood shelf or something. I have nowhere to put all the steelbooks. I have a few decent, hundred dollar shelves for CDs and music, but they can definitely not support steelbooks without tilting.
