Sheriff J.W. Pepper is easily my favorite Bond character.

Outside of Goldeneye and the Craig ones, I just started to get into the franchise since they've been showing the movies on Starz a lot recently. I got Licence to Kill and On Her Majesty's Secret Service yesterday, and the Sean Connery Collection Vol. 1 is expected to arrive today.

I wish I had the time to sit down and watch every Bond in chronological order from Dr. No to Spectre.

I watch them all pretty much every year. It doesn't take that much time. I can usually bang it out in 5-6 weeks. You do have to fight your way through the latter half of Roger Moore's output though.

I just watched Dr. No and totally enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to digging into the rest of the set.
Good to hear you enjoyed 'Dr No'. Let us know what you think of the rest of them.

...says the guy with a Diamonds Are Forever avatar!

I actually think For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy are great Bond films (apart from a few silly diversions here and there such as Maggie & Denis, or the Tarzan yell). AVTAK, though, was probably one film too far for Roger.

LOL, you got me there. I shouldn't have singled out Moore, he has as many hits misses. Big fan of everything through The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only, but Octopussy, Moonraker and AVTAK are Die Another Day level bad, IMO. I mean I still watch the almost every year, so what's that say about me?

I don't watch them all every single year (there's a few I haven't watched in several years), but I'd say I end up watching about half of the series every year. I definitely watch all of the Craigs and most of the Connerys at least once a year.

Best about MR : the pts , Drax , Goodhead , the locations , the music (possibly among Barrys best work ?) , movie posters (Bond and girls in space is my favorite) , the python scene (look at the curly haired girl , nice touch) , Rog does a good job as usual

I have the first two Craigs on BD, but if they did a 4K set of his movies I might upgrade.

I've seen all Bond movies at least once.

I bought the bond 50 Set minus Skyfall:

Which I've since bought, and added to the space conveniently provided for it in the set.

Its a great set. Lots of special features. But its very awkward to display.

Goldfinger, GoldenEye, and Casino Royale are my top 3.
Goldfinger has my favorite quote from a Bond villain: Bond, tied down, and about to be lasered: "You expect me to talk Goldfinger?"
Goldfinger: "No. Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!".

Roger Moore has some fun outings, but some are really goofy like Moonraker.

Then there's Craig, Casino was o.k. Quantum was odd, and Skyfall was good. Then there's Spectre, which...
[Show spoiler]messes a bit with what we know about Blofeld from early Connery outings.

Is there any kind of known defect with Quantum of Solace? I bought the James Bond Collection in the white box, upgraded from the gold and black end-table book for the easier to shelve packaging. We went to watch Quantum tonight and the disc isn't readable - it won't even load and has that extra oily sheen to it, like some past defective discs we've bought that had to be exchanged. I wonder who we need to contact for a replacement, now that Disney owns Fox. Might be less trouble just to buy another Quantum, assuming that's the only defective one. Only watched Casino and Goldeneye from this particular set so far.

Like majority of the human population I just adore the opening title sequences to these films- do any of the blu-rays include a feature to watch them all jukebox style? The white box set I have doesn’t include a detailed list of bonus features.

Not that I’m aware of, unfortunately. Although this would be an awesome idea!

The bonus disc in the black box set has this but I don’t think it includes Spectre’s title sequence. Just Dr. No-Skyfall.

Well snap, can’t really justify purchasing the black box set just for the bonus disc... OR CAN I?!
