I’ll echo what others are saying about watching the rebuild films before the series. I think the series is the definitive story and the rebuild films are alternate versions. Watch the series before the films.

Something I'll mention again about Rebuild;

[Show spoiler]We'll know for sure with 4 but right now, it's highly suggested in more ways than one it's a sequel. Utena literally did the same thing with its movie. The whole "remake/retelling" thing is a sly little redirection. 3 really cemented that in my mind.

Of course I (and others who've noticed) could be wrong. Still great movies, especially 3.

In any case, WATCH THE SERIES AND END OF FIRST.

2.22 stopped coming with a slipcover over 6 years ago, Amazon even used to have a notice about it. I remember seeing people on Twitter back then getting 2.22 without a slipcover.

I haven't dug TOO deep into this aspect yet, but..

That, and a few other random things here and there (Again, sorry... It's been a while) always made me wonder if the Rebuild films were actually a sequel rather than a retelling.
