What happened was I had a question, and I tagged him thinking he might have the answer since IIRC he is the co-owner of Scream Factory. I was told in messenger to contact customer service and to respect his boundaries..... I take that too mean he doesn't want his personal account used for Scream Factory stuff and not to tag him. Fair enough; however when he uses his personal facebook account to post about Scream Factory titles and a lot of stuff related too SF.... along with political rants and other non SF stuff, where are the boundaries. It appears he his ok with using his account to promote SF; but any issues please contact customer service. When their customer service was bad at the time, why would any body bother contacting them. They would go to one of the two people are are the faces or brand ambassadors for the company; to see if things could get resolved quicker. When I worked at Blockbuster ( as a manager) I did not pass the buck; or tell a customer to speak to someone else (Unless I really couldn't help them with their issue.) I handled it. That's why I aced three mystery shops with a score of 100%, got a personal thank you from our regional manager and CEO, for my customer service, work ethic, rewards card sales, doing an exemplary job as manager and Health and Safety rep.... etc. Instead of getting all snippy and pissy, lamenting on podcasts when some movies don't sell (I'm sorry but some ARE overpriced EX. The Craft, which was hardly a CE, given the scant bonus features.) Improve your customer service, and stop using your personal account to promote SF then complain when your are tagged. I'd also add that dealing with a local customer base is nothing in comparison to the amount of BS he likely has thrown his way online for being the figurehead for all of Scream Factory. Personally I likely would have chosen not to answer and just moved on, but I can't say I blame the guy in this regard as I can't think of a single reason that I would single out one specific person at Scream Factory over just dealing with their customer service department.

No interviews with any of the leads is the main reason I skipped it & stayed with the older edition.

Same reason for me. No new video transfer (that was a given) and no new interviews and/or commentary with the four female leads didn't justify a reason to purchase it. I'm not a Scream Factory basher by any means. I'm glad they're around and I own a lot of their releases and most of them are awesome, but their Blu-ray release of The Craft is a disappointment.

He and Cliff said that they have had to block people on Scream Factory's pages for swearing, etc. I know they also said on a podcast that some people ***** about a little scuff or something very minor and want a refund etc. So I can only imagine how hard it can be dealing with a lot of complainers. I just think he needs to take a beat before responding and that might do a lot to improve the opinions their customer base has of them, regarding their social media accounts and how they respond to people. |

No shame at all. I did the same thing (the pink case goes very well with my TT copy of The Blob), and Mean Girls is a good movie in its own right. |

If this Paramount thing is real, than I can't see how they would not announce The Dead Zone, King Kong '76, and the Ghost and the Darkness.

Definitely not Paramount. It was a post-Miramax production, so it was probably one of the assets included when Lantern Entertainment acquired The Weinstein Company.

I believe that was it yes. It was mentioned last month that October announcements would be light and with us getting both The Blob CE and an Omen Box set I think that they managed having few announcements pretty well. I wouldn't be shocked to see 1 of the Comic Con announcements end up being for October as well, but for now I'm assuming that October announcements are all done.

I'd be shocked. I don't think they've ever had an SDCC title that was slated for release any sooner than November of the same year.

It would certainly be a first, but we've also never had an October as light as we have had this year. That makes me wonder if something (like a Paramount deal announcement) is planned for Comic Con which will have titles immediately ready to follow. I'm not holding my breath for any more October titles, but I wouldn't be shocked to see 1 more sneak in as a result of the Comic Con announcements either. July to October is still plenty of time to make such a release happen... Arrow just announced their September lineup this last week and won't get to their October titles until the end of July for instance... no reason Scream Factory couldn't make a surprise October Paramount announcement happen as well.

In that case I imagine we'll see several if not all of these among the SDCC announcements:
The Terminator Freaked Big Trouble in Little China Let's Scare Jessica to Death Curse of Frankenstein (if indeed this is coming from Scream) I just hope that's a decent balance. No more than 1-2 Hammer titles (because we know many more are coming, and they can add these to the Nov-Feb schedules closer to the time), and hopefully at least half the titles being new to Blu-ray (at least in the US). The Paramount titles are the real wildcard right now. If they have more than just Jessica, you would certainly expect them to announce a couple at SDCC.
