Yep, doesn’t make me all warm and fuzzy. They wanted to reschedule for Wednesday, but I have to take the car in to get the airbags replaced and my MiL has a doctors appointment later that day. So I need to watch our son. Hopefully the dude shows up on Monday. I’m definitely starting to hear some warning signs though.

when I was a restaurant manager, I dealt with crap like that every single week. people would see their paycheck, complain about it being so little, and i'd always tell, "stop calling out for shifts and maybe it'd be a bit bigger."

I definitely need more money, so I work every time i'm scheduled; unless i'm really sick with a virus and won't to give it to anyone else. and I used to get called to cover other people's shifts when I was in a different department. but since I changed, people calling out isn't an issue. we only have 6 of us in this department and we all work when we're supposed to.....which is nice.

although earlier today I had to do another person's job for about 30 minutes because someone called in (2, actually)\; and the person that was here had to take their lunch. and, of course, it was all outside in the hot-ass sun. i'm not mad at the one who was here, but at the 2 that called out and put a strain on everyone else.

It's kind of strange to me how much people care about the number of followers they have on social media. I don't get it. I had someone contact me about buying one of my usernames and I agreed to it, why not? As long as they send payment first I don't care.

Posting and editing images for my 2 accounts is something that I do for fun. Log in, take 30 seconds out of my day to post, end of story. I didn't start posting with the hope that I'd get to 5,000 followers some day, it just happened over time. I couldn't imagine purchasing someone else's Instagram account for the followers. Why would you want followers that aren't your own? Users who didn't follow for your content and that you didn't take the time to build up personally? Overall very weird to me.

What I do understand is wanting original usernames, that's understandable. I've sold usernames for hundreds of dollars on other websites in the past, so I get that. Would I pay hundreds of dollars? No absolutely not.

I really wish my wife would get off my back about this Schwan job. Dude didn’t contact me or the recruiter that today’s interview didn’t work because he wasn’t going to be in the office. I contacted the recruiter and set up a interview for Monday. So I shouldn’t have to contact this person to make sure they’ll be there. If they aren’t, I’m done and won’t be pursuing a position at this branch. She, on the other hand feels I need to be the one to follow through

I feel the same way about Youtube channels. I enjoy watching some unboxing and Blu-ray collection videos sometimes and the hosts are always imploring viewers to subscribe. Do they get some kind of monetary compensation if they have a certain number of subscribers? If they do it can't be more than a buck or two. I started a channel a couple of months ago. If you want to watch my vids, great. If you want to subscribe, super. But I'm not going to beg people to subscribe. I want people to discover my videos on their own. I'm not in it for fame.

Exactly. Unless you're in the millions and actually earning some serious cash through a monetized account, it doesn't matter. What bugs me is when someone follows you on IG, you follow them back, and then they immediately unfollow you and hope you do not notice. They want thousands of followers, but the appearance of not following anybody themselves.

Men's dress shoes need to be more comfortable. I teach 5th grade, so I am on my feet all day. I have Allen Edmonds and Cole Haan shoes. Both are fine if you're standing for 2-3 hours, but not all day.

I was also thinking the same but according to a Harvard article (and others), a “suicide survivor” is a loved one left behind by someone who committed suicide. It is not someone who tried to commit suicide but survived the attempt.

thinking about and laughing how some guys can think that a car making more hp per liter than a lamborghini huracan is a big deal.

if that car doesn't have more hp than the huracan, or an engine of similar size and displacement, then the amount of hp per liter makes no difference whatsoever.

2.5 liter 4-cylinder 400 hp (350 bhp) = 160 hp/liter (140 bhp/liter)
*0-100 kph - 5.5 seconds
*top speed - 255 kph

5.2 liter v-10 630 hp (601 bhp) = 121 hp/liter (115 bhp/liter)
*0-100 kph - 3.2 seconds
*top speed - 325 kph

taking those numbers into consideration, which one is gonna be faster? hp per liter means nothing unless the engines are close in size and displacement.
