Another release, another bullshit gimmick. So the new gimmick is the guy who started the threats and all the nonsense is now butthurt by threats and nonsense. With the angle for this release being that we are lucky he's making it available at all. It's ****ing pathetic.

Every time I see df and think, "hey maybe they are learning the lessons of the past and evolving into a label that I may consider supporting" they go ahead and pull a trick like this. It's one thing to delay a release, I respect the hell out of labels who say they need more time but when you are promising something and then delay it and try to place the blame on some random guy then you need to cop the hell on.

It’s definitely disappointing because he doesn’t need to do it.

Whoever said above that Dave gets off on being withholding because it’s a power trip is probably spot on.

Funny thing is if he stopped with the games, he’d probably get a lot more support (see for example Mondo Macabro who just sold through two pre-orders in less than a week).

I’m guessing the assumption is he can easily sell 1000 Dead Pits in a small amount of time, so he’s going to jerk people around.

You don’t see this shit with point doom and you probably won’t see it with Breeders or The Banker.

Also I remember some previous controversy where he get online and made some deal about making money for Bill’s medical bills. Obviously isn’t really a concern after this.

He was kidding. He had no intention of banning anyone and, actually, went out of his way in refusing to ban people long after I would have started using that feature, and I'm so tolerant that I don't even use the ignore feature on this site. The issues on Facebook, with some specific individuals, had gotten out control quite a while ago and, because he didn't want to ban anyone, he allowed them to continue and even escalate. At this point, there is a list and he will be canceling and refunding orders in order to send that message, that the trolling needs to stop.
