Whilst discussion of folks medical issues are a no-no on here (and rightly so). I'm of the belief that there's SFA to suggest to me that Miribeau is on the autistic spectrum, and actually feel offended that she attributes her behaviour to such and gives those who do (myself included) a bad rep. Miribeau is an Über-Troll of the highest order who's been ripping the piss out of everyone (mods included) on these boards for far too long - there's no way on earth she is a pension-age homebody watching exploitation movies in her kitchen, with a career that encompasses CSI law enforcement, a doctor, store owner, preacher and any others she conjures up for her twisted persona! She's taking this place and the users here for complete mugs!

To the group, at large....
First, aside from the general oddity of a person saying they have autism and then engaging in standard autism bashing, which I can't claim to understand, I want to make clear that I never negated or doubted Profondo's claims as to who he is, nor did I question him about who he is. I simply stated, in my way, that all autistics are not the same, and we're not. My form shares some traits with the most common high-functioning form, but is not that form and has its own unique features. I have no problem with Profondo or anyone else being autistic but I find it odd that Profondo has a problem with me being autistic and, for the record, this person is wrong to insist that we are all the same, with no variety. It is that kind of thinking that sees children, recently diagnosed, saddled with labels and expectations and, sadly, well-meaning adults in their lives looking down on them, rather than aiding them in reaching their full potential. Thankfully, that is becoming increasingly rare, but it still happens because of this kind of prejudice.
To Profondo, directly, but this applies to quite a few of you at this point, sadly....
I want to say that I am genuinely sorry for offending your feelings, as I never intend to leave anyone with hurt feelings. My statement that you are wrong about something is not intended to say that you are wrong about anything else or that you are in any way less than anyone else or leave you feeling less. However, I also have to add the obligatory statement, because many here are not autistic and don't have autistic relatives, and your personal prejudices could influence them in their lives, if they take them to heart: Autism is not a static condition. We can learn and improve over time, just like any other human being. We are not robots who stay the same over a ninety year life. My autism features have greatly diminished over decades with everything from extensive reading, on how to better understand my fellow man, to acting lessons so that I could "seem relatively normal" when appearing on a panel. We learn over time and we learn well, differently, but well and we all have life potential, including the lowest functioning people I have met, who learned over time to communicate, when that was believed impossible. Autism is a part of who someone is, not the whole person.
As to your personal belief that anyone who likes exploitation films must also be an underachiever, I can't help you there. I love these films. Many of the people here, people with lives and jobs and even families, loves these films. The successful label owners who put them out also love them, although Bill sometimes doesn't love everything he puts out. The simple truth is that a lot of people love these movies. I know a lot of people who love them and are high achievers, quite a few in the film industry itself.
As to me, personally, it is true that I have had many jobs, over the years, often at the same time, even now. I've had many vocations, although I never claimed to be any of the false things you claimed in the quoted post, above. For the record, I was a criminologist, which is an academic profession, consulting, yes, but not a Crime Scene Analyst or active Law Enforcement, as you claim. I was the typical brain bag, where everyone else did the heavy lifting, and thankfully so, as I could never have done it. I was never a doctor, again, as a medical consultant, I referred people to oncologists who could deliver chemotherapy and radiation when it was needed, which it usually wasn't, but I was not what you claim I said. I was never a store owner. I worked to aid an ill relative when they needed me, which I like to think most people would do for someone they love, but, again, you have attributed something to me falsely. I was never a preacher. I have spoken in religious settings on religious topics, and will again, so long as I am able, but a minister is a person who devotes their whole life to that service and I lack the capacity to spend the whole of my life serving others or, truthfully, even doing just one thing. I wish I was that kind of person, but, quite frankly, I'm not that good. I struggle to be as good as I am and do my best but I'm not up to that kind of challenge.
I am not angry with you and I won't hold any of this against you but, to be clear, you have stated to everyone on this board, to the moderators, to the label owners, to some of my lurking colleagues, to anyone who might not remember things that shouldn't have mattered enough to be remembered, that I have claimed specific things and said specific things, that I have not claimed or said. I would greatly appreciate it if you and everyone else here who, for whatever reason has decided to take time to bash a stranger on the Internet and has chosen me, would not attribute to me things that I have not said.
I won't ask you not to bash me for my autism or spend time calling me a liar or troll or whatever you need to do to make yourself happy. Really, where would I get off telling anyone what to do. I will ask that you not actively misrepresent me when you are bashing me and calling me names.

I can't say this was the best shot to use to advertise, given the content. I'd like to see a few pics from a wider range displayed within the frame, as there isn't enough variation here. Given they did two restorations, DF would need to include comparison to the new one, not the outdated one, for it to have much meaning, given they intend to retain grain structure on the DF release, which BU's first version didn't do. I'd like to see a comparison to the new BU version, for that purpose, but also would love to see pretty much any more visually diverse screengrab, for comparison.
