Wow, people are really freaking out on DF over on their Facebook page - makes this forum look like tame by comparison. The angry peasants with pitchforks and torches actually outnumber the apologists!

Ha! I think that's actually a conservative estimate. If I recall correctly, the chase scene goes on for maybe like 40-45 minutes? It's cut together with other scenes, so it's not completely linear. It goes on forever though. "I'm gonna git yo ass." I like this movie. A damn fine piece of hicksploitation.

seems to be the usual: the store is never up, no limits on titles so scalpers allegedly swoop in and purchase them all. there are also apparently sellers on ebay selling up to 5 copies of the dead pit at a time, hence the scalpers theory.

it's getting pretty uncivilized.

"Dark Force is a business and just like any other business we are out to make money. We are certainly not doing this because we enjoy being trolled every day. The more people that buy multiple copies the less we have to ship out and the easier it is on us. If these releases are so huge that they can then turn them around and make money on them then they must be pretty good. But truthfully this kind of commotion only happens on certain big titles. At the end of the day everyone has to remember it's a real business."

Just when you think that they can't lower the bar any further df once again delivers. My biggest issue with df is that most boutique labels are a business run vby people who love cinema. df is a business run by someone who loves money. I've never seen another label that not only supports scalping of their product but actually encourages it. At this stage I assume that most of those ebay sellers are df.
