Noticed Downfall (Der Untergang) lists the UK version for best PQ, but based on research I was doing last night, doesn't the CA version have the best PQ/AQ (no DNR, lossless audio)?

No, all BD releases of Downfall have DNR, but in various amounts. The UK release has the least amount of it, but has lossy audio. The only release that has no DNR is the DE HD DVD, but's been out-of-print for a decade.

So it's between the UK and CA releases when it comes to best available release, depending on whether you want PQ (UK) or AQ (CA). I bought the German release but haven't watched it -- from comments I found, it sounds like a DNR nightmare but has lots of extras.

Yeah, to be honest I had the UK disc and sold it for the CA release. They appear to be the same source, but the CA disc looks slightly better because of a much higher bitrate. The audio is much better, too.

No problem sir. I was hoping the Shout disc would be an improvement, but it's actually worse than both the UK and CA discs.

It was a Warner release in multiple territories mostly at the same time. I would bet they share a disc master or are very very similar if not.
