It's definitely Dave. He can't stop himself from selling how collectible the slip is, even in Tom persona. There is also no way in hell anyone would be stupid enough to agree with the scalper logic.

Pisser is I already have their other titles, so the bundle is just over paying on an already overpriced release.

Probably will just start bucketlisting all their releases so the bundles will make economic sense going forward. Nothing there worth scalper prices.

This is such a bad business model.

First off, the Dead Pit release is very niche. So you're not gonna sell thousands and thousands of units. DF knows it and every customer knows it.

If they put a buy limit on this release, positive things are gonna happen. Let's say (let's get crazy)they put a 1 copy limit buy.(enforced by email/shipping addresses) Customers that really want the film(with slip) are almost certain to get their hands on a copy and at the intended price set buy DF. Better than tons of copies sitting in some scalpers closet for years never getting into a true fan's hands. Newsflash, regardless of how bad people want the film, several will never kneel to ebay/scalpers. They would just do without, rather than feed that crooked enterprise.

Second. It drives traffic ... wait for it ... to the Dark Force store. While there, they may even buy other films in the store. Imagine that.

At the very least, after buying Dead Pit(or insert any limited release here) the chance of being a repeat customers goes up too. This is called building a solid customer base. When dealing with some scalper, they will never venture to the DF store. It's irrelevant, and not needed.

It's 1000 copies. Wouldn't (as the company that released this title) want 1000 individual customers? 1000 customers flowing/browsing through your store and not somewhere else?

For the record, Mondo did not release it, the much-maligned Dorado did. Mondo just sold some of them from their site, IIRC. It isn't the best looking blu-ray out there, but it is likely to be the only time these films show up on blu. At Diabolik's price, it is definitely worth getting if you are fan of the director. Don't pay the price-gouging amounts that DF and eBay sellers want. There isn't a need to at this point.

The thing with Dark Force is, they invite and welcome all the trolling by being trolls themselves. They troll the trolls, and, in turn, end of trolling legitimate fans who wants the films, which is frustrating. If you want something they are selling, your best bet is to just wait it out, be patient, not subscribe to the BS, and eventually purchase the items you want, pending they're still available.

Mondo didn't release it, Dorado did (Mondo just helped them move some copies).

It looks like crap and is not even worth $10.
