My S300, is not known for load speed, even on regular DVDs. Think it has to do with loading Java or BD-Live options, and perhaps slower processors to keep the cost down. Some disks take a couple of minutes - night a the museum, for example. Loading, loading, loading.... Recent firmware updates seem to have helped the speed some, but no spectacular increases. Even so, From what I've read, the S300 is still faster than 1st generation players. My 1st gen PS3, on the other hand, is quite zippy, with almost no delay, regardless of what disk. |
