France Minuscule 2 : The Mandibles from Far Away 3D Blu-ray (2019) [Region B Locked]

Minuscule 2 : Les Mandibules du Bout du Monde 3D Blu-ray

Minuscule 2 - Abenteuer in der Karibik 3D Blu-ray

(The covers ^^ are reversible into the other language)

Basically non speaking movie.

The sequel is now released in French cinemas with some theaters presenting it in... 3D !

Yeah I created the Movie page on this site last night and watched the 3D today (last showing after just one week, all of the 3D screenings were at midday).

I'm still waiting to hear about the German edition of the first film in that thread so have yet to buy/see that one.

As for Minuscule 2: Mandibles from Far Away, here are my notes:
Backgrounds didn't feel like Native 3D but overall good depth, only one mild Digital 3D pop-out noticed. Very well animated, outstanding sound design + soundtrack, actually good story, environmentalist themes, emotive moments.

I presume there's no dialogue again, so at least if it makes it to 3D Blu-ray, language options won't be an issue...

No 3D blu-ray planned for the sequel . Just 2D Blu-ray and DVD editions planned for 31st May.

The DVD is €15, the Blu-ray €20. The DVD page lists a booklet and lots of bonus features, the blu-ray page does not but who knows/cares. The continuation of DVD is still insane to me, now we're in the age of commonplace HD TVs, HD streaming, HD discs. €15 for SD, it's insane.

I've written an email to Éditions Montparnasse making the case for a 3D edition of Minuscule 2, but getting a response would be miraculous, let alone a 3D disc. Just felt I couldn't let them get away with it without complaint.

Liked the first one in 3D very much on the TV, so it was a very big disappointment for me to see that there were only flat 2D disc releases announced.

A few days ago i found out that there was a hard to find Blu-ray 3D version of Minuscule 2 released in French speaking Switzerland (cede.de)

The 3D disc arrived today. I`m so happy now that i can enjoy this very promising Caribbean themed Minuscule movie in 3D at home

A German movie rating office called this movie "especially valuable" so I can't wait to see it.

If you have a region free (B) player you can enjoy it as an import too. As said before there are only noises like hum & honk coming from these animals
So it`s a completely english friendly release.

Amazing!! Thank you! I assume like part 1 language isn’t an issue?

Also what’s the best Swiss shop to import from?

They won’t let me pick Canada or the US as a shipping option on the .ch site. The .de I can’t find it

FNAC has it also but only in store, not being sold online lol

The problem is both cede.de and cede.ch don’t seem to allow shipping outside of Switzerland or Germany. Do you live in one of those countries or am I doing something wrong? I’m using a phone and the country drop down on both sites I limited to those row countries. Thanks for the help. I’m sure this will turn up in Russia if worst comes to worst, but I’d like to own this as I have the first one. Thanks

Be careful of which Minuscule: Les Mandibules Du Bout Du Monde you order!
Only the disc with EAN# 7611719706195 has "3D et 2D" on the front banner and "3D und 2D" on the Spine.

The other release with EAN# 3346030031667 should only be 2D.

I don't think the 3D edition of the second film is on Amazon UK. The first is, there are a few options, but the second doesn't seem to be. I searched this morning after getting frustrated with CEDE

I LIVE in French-speaking Switzerland, I SAW the second film in 3D in the cinema here, I
COMMUNICATED
with Editions Montparnasse who told me there would be no 3D edition anywhere ... I never found this, so thank you so much for the heads up and to Paul H for specifying the EAN.

I just ordered it from Fnac.ch (Fnac Switzerland, who only deliver to Swiss addresses). I paid CHF 19.90, free 1-day delivery so I'm really happy.

If anyone wants/needs, I can groupbuy this for them, but please let me know via private message (I'm not very good at following threads this month).

I would potentially be interested in the group buy, but can you confirm the disc is in fact Region B locked?

Thanks a million for bringing this to our attention!

Actually I know someone who has a region A+B player, I'll ask them to test the disc (which I recently received) using Region A and I'll get back to you, but it might take a few days.
I don't think they can check/play Region C.
