So will this be a regular streaming service that I can subscribe to on my Roku, or is it exclusive to Apple devices?

They haven't announced pricing yet.

At one time it was rumored to be a free service but you would have to have an Apple TV or the apple streaming stick. (They would make their money from the sale of the hardware and royalties from whatever apps you signed up for (like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Shudder, Disney+,HBO Go, etc)

The Apple TV app will be available on Roku, Amazon Fire, and some smart TV platforms.
