If today it makes around $250,000 domestic it's a very very good sign.
_____

Some fun comparison numbers with Avatar ...
https://www.the-numbers.com/movies/c...-(2019)/Avatar

You can add any other movie title from the listed ones on top, remove any one, or add any other title of your choice; it's fun playing with.

It's like a global chain reaction; too many of us underestimated that force, I included.
You're the first who made me aware of that...the global "staggered expansion".

The Marvel "rerelease" ("Bring Back") strategy of Endgame starting June 28 paid off.
I don't think they need any other trick now to beat Avatar...that would do, and sooner than later.
The next step is below single digit ... 2,787.999 (2.788)
Then single digit "above" Avatar ... 2.789
Then double digits above Avatar ... 2.798

Some theaters in the US are starting to drop avengers this week in favor of more showings for Lion King. Unless Disney/Marvel are planning for a 3rd rerelease with the double feature this does not look good.

It came up $408k above NA estimates. So just $6.7M away now!

Avengers: Endgame grossed $2.10M this weekend. Total domestic gross stands at $851.61M.

That was a very nice surprise indeed.

$2,104,276 gross domestic for the weekend (July12-14).
For a total gross domestic of $851,612,415

Very very good last weekend:
Friday 12 > $600,453
Saturday 13 > $840,087
Sunday 14 > $663,736

That's roughly $200,000 more over BOR prior prediction.
_____

☆ Grand total worldwide Endgame (as of July 14, yesterday): $ 2,781,212,415
$6,752,673 needed to beat Avatar.

Today if it makes less than $200,000 domestic we'd have to check for Tuesday's number.
If it makes roughly $250,000 we're in very good hands...all week.
And if it's closer to $300,000 it would be supra fantastic...and a big surprise (I don't count on seeing this).
_____

August 13 is when the 4K Blu-ray comes up? That's a month from now, thirty days including today.
By then Endgame will be over $2.788 billion worldwide.

$6.7M to be exact. After overseas actuals get updated this weekend, it'll be even lower than that lol.

Even with Lion King coming out, my AMC has incresed Endgame from 2 showings last weekend to 4 this weekend. Still on one of their 3 BIG auditoriums that isn't the IMAX.

My local Marcus also still has it in every theatre with 3 showings.

Disney On target ...

Scott from Forbes today ...

"As we wait to see if Avengers: Endgame has enough juice to crawl past the $2.788 billion global cume of Avatar, ..."

https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottme.../#7979d31d5ef7
There's no "if"; it's a done deal. All the numbers add up, @ home and overseas.
Yesterday (15th) till the 31st of July is seventeen days; $200,000 a day (domestic) times seventeen is $3.4 million.
And $200,000 a day times seventeen (overseas) is another $3.4 million.
That's a total of $6.8 million.

Sure, that's only a figure; out of 17 days 6 of them are weekend days, one third.
Those six days should be above $200,000 to make the difference (compensate) for the week days that don't make it above $200,000

This is not the best case scenario, it's only a realistic case scenario.

I am almost certain, as I said before, that some professional movie analysts are following this thread right here, except for yesterday.

The tunes are slow to change, perhaps because most are Avatar's fans?
Maybe not; I'm not only an Avatar's fan but also an Endgame and all cool flicks fan.
It has no influence in the play number game fun, zero. ...@ least for me.

This weekend coming up is Comic-Con in San Diego...that should be very very fun, informative, about tomorrow's direction, plus an additional boost to Endgame.
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/15/aven...ar-record.html

* By September 12 (Thursday midnight) Endgame might end up @ $2.800 billion worldwide (we won't know all the exact numbers till roughly a week to two weeks after the 12th). ...In that vicinity, I think...if not in the 2.790's.

End of this month Endgame is $2.788 billion; if not above $2.785 billion anyway.
@ the very worst $3 million or less short.

And in August we might see double billing alongside Infinity War, like in Sydney, Australia on August 3rd.
This game is far from being over...it goes till the very end...the eternals.

Avatar will end up @ number two spot worldwide (unadjusted for inflation).
Next year is 2020, and after 2021 starting Avatar's sequels. The best is yet to come ...

/////////

Yesterday (15th) it made $332,736 / 1,443 theaters / Total Domestic: $851,945,151
That is excellence!

Today (16th) I really doubt that it'll make less; Tuesdays are always better days for Marvel. I bet it would be close to half mill. With yesterday's number (domestic) that just came up; end of July is end of the road for Avatar...99%

Quick recap ... As of yesterday Endgame is only $6,419,937 from beating Avatar (by one dollar) worldwide.

After today it will be less than $6 million. ...99.9% certain.

* And as Star Lord mentioned earlier, the overseas numbers they are most likely above the numbers we have right now. So, overall we're talking $5 million and some, as of today...midnight.

You cannot stop the unstoppable ...

** As of yesterday...Avengers: Endgame > Worldwide: $2,781,545,151

Just finished my 2nd viewing. Granted, it was a cheap Tuesday screening, but the theatre was surprisingly about 85% full!

Honestly while the 4th, 5th weeks weren't impressive its ability to not really fall off a cliff these final weeks (I wouldn't even say final weeks because its been in theaters so much less than everything else) but final compared to the home release is amazing. Almost more so than the run itself, to be making this kinda money on a 3hr movie and mostly 2d showings everywhere is wild.
