I'd prefer if everyone had a limit, but I've never been unable to acquire a title from Ronin that I wanted. I wanted to get Dead Pit but the timing hasn't worked in my favor. The scalping stings worse with Dark Force's sporadic store openings.

eBay dude will get chargeback? LOL. Tell me how you’re going to manage that? Scalpers are DF’s bread and butter.

I read that as meaning people who buy it from the scalper are going to do chargebacks because the disc is nowhere near ready for release.

Scalpers play the game where they list it as a pre-order and keep bumping the date after each shipping period expires. Idiots are the victims to these scalpers.

It’s a Code Red title, Although I believe it’s coming from Ronin Flix.

I thought it was Severin, wasn't it? They had beef over the Milligan titles and Bill went on a homophobic tirade or something.

"EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIER SNEAK PREVIEW:
The Dark Force #11 deluxe single's release is ATOR, the Fighting Eagle Collector's Edition! But this gorgeous customized slipcover isn't finished because the next time you see it, it will be in 3D emboss that GLOWS IN THE DARK! The new high def transfer on ATOR looks fantastic and this custom slip will be nothing short of SPECTACULAR!
The Collector's Edition series shifts into high gear this AUGUST with the heavy hitting Conan-like release, ATOR.:

Are glow in the dark slipcovers really the new gimmick for Dark Force? Using it for Dead Pit barely made sense. Now using it for Ator makes zero sense and is a really bad excuse to charge a higher asking price.

I don't get the glow in the dark gimmick. Who is sitting in the dark holding a bluray?

Based on the clip posted it looks like it was sourced from a middling-quality release film print. What evidence do you have to imply otherwise? Or is this just an attempt to cause trouble?

The same people that read a booklet w/ info readily available on the internet, or hold a cardboard/steel box while watching a Blu-ray?

Just another form of collector's swag.

I actuallt wanted to see Dead Pit and picked it up because I can’t imagine anyone else releasing it. The glow gimmick was of no consequence to me, but, it made sense well enough for that title. ATOR makes no sense with that gimmick, and now I can get the title elsewhere for super cheap. Plus, the Dead Pit slip was the same quality as a regular Code Red slip, plus some rough embossing work and a little gloss. I can’t imagine that the cost to produce that was much more than any of their other slips.

Trying to cause trouble? I was merely asking a question.

I do have good reason for asking, mind you.

Well, reason I ask is because you asked the same question before Dark Force responded on the previous page, but then deleted your post for some reason - and now reposted it after Dark Force responded.

If there is a good reason, spill it instead of playing games

Good news, there’s no need to purchase books anymore, you can find that information on Wikipedia.

A good booklet doesn’t have readily available information elsewhere, they are often commissioned specifically for the film’s release. If they are however, 90% pictures, then yes they are as useless as a glow in the dark slipcover.
