I recently watched the first one for the second time since I had seen it during the DVD era. I also watched the sequels for the very first time and I really love Road Warrior.

Would definitely want these on UHD.

Yeah, The Road Warrior is an action buffet filled with great lines:

"Could this contraption take two?"

"Possibly."

"You wanna get outta here? Talk to me."

"No one beats the snake. You must have quick reflexes. Yeah, that's it, reflexes."

"A clever man might have a weapon under there."

So, the back of the Scandinavian Warner release of The Mad Max - Anthology states that it is a 5 disc release containing The Madness of Max documentary as a separate disc, but also the following extras on the disc for Mad Max (1979);

-Audio Commentary with director of photography David Eggby, production designer Jon Dowding, special effects technician Chris Murray, and historian/collector Tim Ridge (2002)
-"Mad Max: The Film Phenomenon" 2001 documentary (25:35)

Can anyone confirm that The UK or US release also have those extras included?

Thanks

Those extras aren't on the Mad Max (1979) disc in the Scandinavian Anthology set. It's a misprint.

The US release should have them though.

Thanks so much for replying. Wow, thats quite surprising.

Since the UK release of Anthology is a lot cheaper to import for me here in Norway it would be great if someone could confirm if perhaps that would contain the commentary and short doc on Mad Max (1979)?

Strange that I've not been able to find any reviews of the UK set.

The UK and Scandinavian disc of Mad Max (1979) should be identical, so I don't think the UK Anthology has those extras either.

Extras not listed on the UK anthology here, looks like US only: https://www.dvdcompare.net/compariso....php?fid=17087

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I got a quick question.

Are the discs in the UK Anthology the same as the US/CA edition, including the bonus DVD?

Currently the cheapest way for me to get the first three films is to import this UK set, but if any of the discs are region-locked or its missing anything important than I probably won't bother.

The bonus DVD is PAL, Region 2.

Okay, thanks.
While that's disappointing, though not unexpected, if the discs for the first three films are the same as the US, it might still be worth it.

Edit: It looks like the UK disc for the first film lacks the commentary and featurette?
[Show spoiler]

Yep. Mad Max is trailer only in the UK set.
