Because I don't have the out of print version, The Blob is still mine, but this may have just hit my #2 or 3 spot.

I know he praised it, so watch out. But honestly, it doesn't matter, I have to get this. It's all part of the Landis pension plan.

The Universal remastered disc was rather disappointing (DNR and odd artifacts).

I'm not sure if Arrow's recent releases have the color pushed a bit much (Waterworld and Weird Science come to mind), but surely this will be an improvement over the Uni disc. However, surely this will receive a UHD release at some point as well but likely will not touch this release for extras.

Preordered directly from Arrow UK, but is there a simultaneous U.S. release or is it UK only?

Preach! Hope those who own the 4K disc are enjoying it, but for me the limited edition set is the final word on Waterworld.

Going to get major flack for saying this, but Arrow’s restoration efforts and encodes are so good most of the time that an UHD (even with the prospect of HDR) seems superfluous. Just my opinion. Please don’t hurt me.

As for this release- WOW that’s a lot of supplemental features. Box art is way too busy for my taste but other than that this promises to be a complete 5-star package.

I kinda agree with you on this. Just getting an original mono mix is enough to seal it as the final say for me. Also hey this is Sam aka the blu dude!

Seriously. The moment I heard “no Ulysses Cut and all those bonus features gone”, I realized there was limit even to my 4K affection.

Only thing that sucks about this is that it's being released 2 days before Halloween.

I doubt I'll get it in time...

Maybe, but we haven't seen 12 Monkeys or The Thing released on UHD BD yet.

Sure but there is only one cut of this classic so the UHD sounds good. Universal has been doing so good transfers lately. This one just has to hit soon.

Oh, I was speaking solely about the advantages of WATERWORLD’s BD over the 4K disc. I’d be all over a 4K disc of AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON even after buying Arrow’s set.

Pre order from Diabolik. You'll get it at least a week early.

Pre ordered from Diabolik, this Oct is looking to be a great (& expensive) month of horror movie releases for me.
